He ran 4:10/9:04 and 14:55 in HS, and placed 33rd at the Footlocker Nationals in 2015. Odd for him to go D2 but it seems to be working for him.

Christian Noble, a D-2 runner, ran 23:34 to win the Blue race by 1:18! In high school he ran 4:16/9:04. Lots of impressive times in the gold race, but this is very unusual to have an American D2 runner from low altitude running a time like this in xc.

Unusual but smart. I know 2 sub 9 guys who are running D3. This guy probably searched out the largest scholarship.

He said he expects it but doesn't know honit impacts eligibility. Since he didn't even know that there is no impact, why woukd you expect him to have inside information? I bet they run 7 and Young is not one of them.
Here's what NAU will do based on past meets and this unique situation: They'll run more than 10 runners because it's unlimited attached entries, but Young will not run. Almost like clockwork, Smith holds back his new stars until the last minute and then he'll run him if he needs him at nationals. One guy to watch will be Ryan Raff. For the last couple years, he's really opened up strong in the first race. We might also see a Joe Benson college debut.

Amazing how far shes come since high school when ITB syndrome nearly ended her running career. But rather than quit, she spent a year painfully changing her form and clearly its worked completely. Nice job Katie. Although I do wonder does Tennessee have anyone beyond their first two?
Thanks!
Taylor Ewert sure has been performing fantastic!
Christian Noble of Lee University showed out at UAB running 23:24.41. Running faster than the entire Green race in a solo effort.

Yes, she had another good race but she wasn't the top freshman this time. She was three seconds behind Florida's Vasileia Spyrou. I hadn't heard that name before. She is from Greece and her 9:30 3000m PR is their U18 national record.
