Thinking of fleeing there till mid-Janurary
Hi Jamin! I hope you have a good weekend
I miss when Jamin used to post vlogs for us to watch.
Heavy snowstorms, very cold temps from Jan thru Mar and unsatisfactory snow removal. ? I've lived here all my life and that's why I want out.
Fluctuates pretty wildly in my limited experience (used to go there on business frequently). Plenty of sunny days with temps into the 50s, but can also be bitterly cold with temperatures staying well below freezing during the day. Less snow on the east side of town and out onto the plain.
You'd hate it and whine about it.
Boulder is the ultimate liberal city except for maybe Portland. You would hate it. If you are used to west coast winters it is probably also too cold for you in January.
You should try a rural Texas town. You are probably too metrosexual to fit in there either but it would be a closer fit.
Please no more people in Texas. This place is already crowded and getting worse by the day. Hotter n shib in the summer and cold during winter. I only notice 2 seasons here. Maybe 2.5.
It's one of the snowiest cities in the country. 100+ inches a year.
It is also one of the windiest cities in the country. The wind is terrible in the winter, Chinook Winds off the mountains are real. Wind storms are a thing. Like 40-50 sustained and gusts to 70 - 80 mph happen. NCAR in Boulder has recorded well over 100mph winds before.
It's absolutely terrible.

It's really not though...
Boulder is a " Latte Liberal" city, progressive.... But nothing like Portland. People in boulder are way too wealthy to care that much. Their form of protest extends to a BERNIE sign in their front yard and bringing their own reusable grocery bags.

Texas too crowded? Big state with millions of acres of open space.
Average Fall day in Boulder will be something along the lines of high 76, low 42 at night. The coolest period will be from 4:30am to 6:30am.
In the fall we typically get cute a snowfall in October of 7 inches or so for all the Rachel McLatte's to fill their social media with insta shots. It usually melts by the next day. This happens a few times until late December/early January.
Winter gets up to 63 but has lows of 5. Winter is tolerable but be forewarned all of CDOT banks on the sun to melt snowfalls so they do not plow. There was a big failure last year and the roads were a mess. Many early February snow days will lead up with clear, sunny days then poof it all comes at once Wind drift will occassionally cause 17 inch snow day claims but it's actually like 8 plus the wind on top of the flatirons.
Coldest day in Boulder has been around March 5th each year and it is a different bone chilling cold (feels like -15) than maybe what youre used to. In the mountains temps change instantly.

You can't google the weather? Well, it's about the same as Seattle but no rain. And no humidity. So it's way better than Seattle. Do you really need to think about this?
