Your "impossible" feat argument is no argument. 9.79 for the 100m was "impossible" till Ben Johnson ran it. Then he tested positive. Lance Armstrong's 7 yellow jerseys was also "impossible". Anything that is "impossible" is just as likely to be the result of doping. If it looks too good to be true it probably is.
Your own standards have no bearing on any of this. If Hughes is in the arena, you are still in a playpen.
