one thread for all Caster related news. simple
Like there's only ever one thread for any other runner here? So what's the point of your "rule"?

I think it's a sad situation because she didn't choose to be like this. She should have been made the exception. Anyone in the future should be included in the rule but not her. My reasoning is that she already competed and won medals before, why ban her now?
Dude generally speaking YOU seem really angry lol. You ok? Relax

Then why are other topics forced into “one thread and one thread only”

That's a question for the mods. As far as I can tell it appears to apply to political threads - like Trump. But there are multiple threads on individual runners. So why should there be only one on Semenya?

because every single thread they start about Caster is the same: celebrating judicial decisions ruled against her. The more humane and honest approach would be to put them all discussion of Caster into one thread and title it "Official Sh*tpost thread of Caster"
It is the right call, as uncomfortable as it is. However, I disagree with the middle distance qualification. I think it should be across all events. Testosterone helps every event. It makes you recover faster, improves aerobic capacity, and makes muscles stronger.
I don't know what Semenya should do, but track may have to be a hobby. I wish her the best.

This is a fantastic decision and a win for fair women's sport. I'm glad the clown show is finally over. Melissa Bishop was robbed of Olympic Gold and many other fantastic athletes also lost out on global medals because of three "women" with internal testicles. I hope our sport returns to some normalcy now.
+1
This is tough because non-binary people are people. Semenya was born with a non-binary biological sex. This happens a lot more than people know about. It is a very hard thing to live with because you live in a society where most everyone is 100% male or female and you are somewhere in between the two. Those genetics confer an advantage on Semenya in athletics. She is significantly faster than other female athletes because she has significantly higher testosterone levels. Lots of athletes have genetic advantages. Simon Biles is only 4'8". That is a huge advantage in gymnastics over taller gymnasts. No one would suggest that she should have to wear shoes with a two inch lift to make up for her genetic advantage. So, it is very difficult to make Semenya take medication to reverse her genetic advantage.
But we have classifications in athletics according to sex because women have a genetic disadvantage to men. That disadvantage is primarily due to testosterone. So, if this classification for women is going to mean anything, a non-binary athlete is going to effectively render the classification moot if no consideration can be made for testosterone levels. So, I see no way around the decision on Semenya.
Those three can either compete among est each other or they can compete against men.
She’s always lived life as a boy/man.
Google “Caster Semenya School Uniform”
Yes, she wore the boy’s uniform to school.
You are a moron if you think the only difference between a male athlete and a female athlete is testosterone!

Tough day for Semenya for sure

it points out how testosterone figures into ALL women's sports, as well as men.
genetic abnormality, or testosterone robustness, separates one from the back, and in the case of Semenya, it's extreme,
at the end of the day, women's sports are dominated by freaks of nature.

Semenya can race in the gender identified female race.
Semenya is a biological man with a birth defect. That does not make Semenya a woman.
As long as there are male and female categories, and those who were born and grew up biologically male have innumerable biological advantages on average, so you have to police the female category somehow if you are going to retain the two. That does not preclude athletes like Semenya from competing in the male, or if you will, the open category. Already the testosterone regulations enforced for trans- athletes are patently unfair to biological women where they allow not only individuals growing up biologically male to compete against biological women despite many advantages from adolescence and maturity but to have much higher testosterone levels in competition. Yet, biological women are not allowed to take testosterone to raise their own levels to those of trans-women, meaning biological males competing as women with some level of testosterone suppression.

she is a biological and genetic female, do you know nothing about Intersex? IT is not transgender! She is genetically female!
She is XY and has a set of clangers.
Don't feel sorry one bit for her. She basically legally doped for years which reaped her multiple medals and lots and lots of $. She and all the other intersex athletes literally took money and acclaim from the pockets of athletes who didn't possess their biological advantage. Melissa Bishop should be the rightful Olympic champion. Very doubtful that she'll be one now. Athletes usually only get one shot at an Olympic gold in their prime. Bishop will be 33 next year. The intersex athletes took her shot away from her.
Because Caster is symbolic of the future of women's sports. If we cater to Caster the future of female competition is compromised. Period. It's a big deal to us females but maybe not to you as a man.
