Centro will never experience success in the 1500m at the international level again. Why? Because Timothy C. is a natural front runner. You can't beat him even if he ran 52 second first lap and laid off the pace. He's not slowing down anytime soon. Hot on his heels is an improving Jakob who is still many years away from his absolute physical prime. Centro won't even be within 50 meters of either of these cats at any 1500m race.
So...a guy who plays video games into the early morning is going to beat these two studs? Hell no. Hell no.
Centro, a guy who closes 1500's in 1:49-1:51 800's just opened his season with a 1:50. Who knows maybe Jerry had him doing it all on 5k type work, but still not the best result

It's not the slow time in the 800m (1:50) last night that makes me think this.
Its his unwillingness to even get in the mix. Kerr made them all look like boys, sure, but I was surprised to see Centro actually looking spent after that effort. If you watched the stream, he was hanging over the fence.
Might be time for him to move up to the 5k while he's still got some speed...
fast forward to 7:50 into the video to hear centrowitz talk about what he wanted out of this 800m race, why he didn't race this season and where he is at in fitness.
probably better than reading people making stuff up.
I think we are just spoiled by all of these superb time trials we have been witnessing. A 1:50 offseason 800 is nothing to worry about from a guy who typically only cares about championship racing. If he cared at all about covid-era racing, he would be racing in the 1500-5k range.
Something tells me that one of those turds at U of O or the Portland kiddo posted this...
don't worry, roid chacne Centro is a master at getting the dosages dialed in
