You can be sure that the Biden campaign conducted their own internal polling to see how different VP candidates were perceived by Dems and Independents. Everyone is talking as if this decision hasn't been vetted with any data.

Yeah, seriously WTF. Is this just something you throw out there anytime you see a woman in power? Must have slept their way to the top... What a total piece of garbage thing to say.
You are ignorant of her history.
This will help.

Cool source. Couldn’t find an article on Brietbart?
I think she is a pretty good pick. As a moderate conservative, I voted for Trump in 2016 because it was one vote that didn’t go to Hillary.
I’m pretty torn on this election. The country has gone to hell and I blame the media more than Trump, although he deserves some blame. I think the media loves Harris, and I think the media will calm down viewers if Biden/Harris win the election.
Whether or not she got some help early in her career, at least she has a solid resume. I’m closer than ever to voting Democrat in 2020.

It's well known that her career got its start when she was sleeping with the SF mayor. You can decide for yourself whether that is important but you cannot just pretend it didn't happen.
It’s well known that Donald Trump was born rich. At least she had to work to get to where she’s at.
You misogynists are so predictable. Woman can only succeed by sleeping their way to the top. You suck.

You blame the media for poor covid response? Bounties on American soldiers? Bad trade deals?

Harris has flip-flopped on more issues than Clinton. Biden is clearly mentally incapable so Harris would be in charge. It's terrifying because she has no principles, she will just do or say whatever she needs to in order to remain in power.
This decision will cost Biden a lot of votes.
Not only that but when Biden does step down who will be VP. I think he will step down sooner than we think, and Harris's VP pick is a big unknown. Is that how we get AOC for a VP?!?!

Really - the media has caused the country to go to hell? What has the media done other than report the things that he does and says? Did the media cause him to have not one but two indoor rallies in the middle of a pandemic? Did the media cause him to declare Covid as being over or that children were virtually immune and can therefore go back to school?

If you don't think Benghazi would have been on the menu for the rest of the campaign, you need to think again. Rice would have been called before a Senate committee, guaranteed, just as HRC--in the middle of the 2016 campaign--was called before Congress.
There have been *ten* Benghazi investigations, the majority run by the GOP. They all came to the same conclusions--no culpability--but the Republicans are prepared to ride that horse for the foreseeable future (and spend millions of taxpayer $$ in the process).

I blame the media for extremely biased “journalism” of all of the above. Not going to go into it on this thread, and I admit he has blame and he does a poor job at unifying the country. Hence the potential to vote Biden/Harris in 2020.

Letsrun right-wing echo chamber brood in their mom's basements, across the continent, devastated. Triggered. Now they will lash out. Hilarity ensues.

And so the pulling of the race-card begins. Now we're not allowed to say anything bad about her because she just a poor ol' black woman. Give me a f*cking break, you really think people can't see through what you're trying to do? The Dems identity-politcking their way to the presidency didn't work with Hillary, and I highly doubt it's going to work with Biden.

I love her. Smart, tough, articulate, moderate. She's a good centrist democrat pick, regardless of how the GOP and all the wing-nuts on here will try to paint her.
But here comes all the misogyny and racism. Strong men are "tough," strong women are "b-ches" and "ball breakers," etc etc.
She's ALL of the exact things you said. That said, she is being used. Another POC used as a token by the Democratic party. Its sickening actually. As a conservative, I actually hope demented Joe steps down shortly after the election and allows her to take over. I don't believe that she will that
far Alt Left crap like AOC, Bernie, and the newest version of Joe.
She self-identifies as African American. She is half African and half Indian (Hindi) that I know of.
She is "American".
In 100 years, when we are all dead and gone, the majority will be beige/brown/olive and black and oriental and white will be the minorities. Mixed will be the norm.
Obama self-identified as African American. He is half Irish, people forget that.
If Biden was a Republican running against Bernie and Nina Turner, the critique of her record as a prosecutor might land. Moderate Republicans are not looking for a progressive record from a prosecutor. They want the opposite.
The attacks on Harris from Republicans will be that she is really a crazed liberal who will raise taxes and cut the military not that she wasn't enough of a progressive when she was a prosecutor. Trump is already calling her out for being mean to J. Kavanaugh. Of course, that is manna from heaven for the hashtag resistance folks who are still steamed about Trump calling Hillary a "nasty woman".
Biden wanted something he wasn't - black, a woman, and young enough not use the word "Malarky"... so as to better appeal to those same demographics.
Uggh, you are probably correct on this one. And the Trump campaign is probably too stupid to attack the right areas. I feel that Harris is an extremely low character and as she could very well be the President at some point in the next 4 years which definitely matters to me. But from a political spectrum point based on her actions, she is definitely more appealing to us on the right than a lot of people he could have picked. I personally feel she is the type that will go wherever she needs to in order to win and would have no problem going alt left or moderately conservative if it was advantageous to her.
Biden thinks he has the Black vote as you stated. Biden has the Black vote just as H.R.C. had the Black vote. African-Americans over age 50 showed up for H.R.C., 2016. From McGovern to Jimmy Carter to Walter Mondale to Dukakis to Bill Clinton to John Kerry to H.R.C. all had (87 to 92)% vote from African-Americans. All got those margins with lower African American turnout.
Trump is so polarizing. I cannot imagine many Trump voters will switch to Biden. It is all about turning out supporters. I get the sense from reading this thread that most Democrats like the v.p. nominee selection. Republicans and Libertarians who voted for Trump in 2016 do not seem to like Kamala Harris. No matter. The Republicans and Libertarians were not going to vote for Biden.
Will Bernie Bros. who stayed home in 2016 or voted Green or Socialist Party, will Kamala Harris encourage those voters to switch to Biden? The Bernie Bros. who voted for Trump will most likely double down and vote for Trump again. Will Black voters under age 50 show up for Biden-Harris? There is no evidence Biden will obtain more Black voters than did H.R.C., 2016.

Did you mean Nimrata? A person so ashamed of her heritage that she pretends to be white. The person who "converted" from Sikh to Christianity yes still goes to Sikh religious ceremonies; Sikhs worship Allah and read Quran, but are not consider Muslims?
Nimrata is essentially a Muslim. Would Trump really put a fake white American who is a closeted believer in Allah on the 2020 ticket?
No. No. No. Trump will pull his pee shooter out and put his secret weapon on his ticket. . . . . . Ivanka.

It's not the race-card but the insinuation that a woman can't succeed on her own. Can you name a single successful male that has been accused of sleeping his way to power? You know very well that if Biden selected a man this issue would never come up.
Right now Trump is losing badly with women and accusations like that will not help him that group.
