Chest, probably not unless you get a HUGE chest. Arms, yes, if you have huge biceps and shoulders, it will be more weight to carry at the longer distances. Huge biceps and shoulders are probably a disadvantage at any distance above 400m.
You can probably increase your bench max without increasing your body weight that much, until a certain point.
