Running a two mile after doing 2minutes or pushups and 2minutes of sit-ups is not the same as showing up to the track fresh. I agree his time sucks but he also held back and ran to a predetermined pace without others.
It is worth noting he failed to stay in the proper rest position during the pushups (Going to your knees is not allowed and is means for immediate event termination). He also failed to interlock his hands behind his head. None of his sit-ups would Have even counted if graded properly.
I’d like to see Sam Chelanga show us how to really run this old Army PT test. Yes, as previous poster noted the new Army test has six events to include a hand release push-up and 2mile run.
