Daily deaths attributed to Covid in Sweden were in single digits for mid July through the end of October.
In November we have seen mostly between 10 and 18 per day.
Why?
Why would the virus return in a nation that did not lockdown?
Makes no sense that I can suss.
Unkle. You are right about November. But as you know, more and more deaths will be transferred bacwards due to the Swedish reporting system. So the deaths in Swenden are sharply rising. And they did not get herd immunity. You ask me a question. The Mastermind behind the Swedish Strategy: It is colder outside. People are staying more and more indoors, therefore, just like flu and cold, people get more and more infected. And soon it will be very cold in the Nordic coutries. So itmakes a lot of sense.
The spread of the virus is out of controll in Sweden, not so in the neighboring countries. But even there the health authorities are worriesome. 5990 infections (matches 190000 in US) friday, the rise has great impact on the hospitalization rate , not so strong on deaths. It is due to better treatment, more young people are infected, even the old get more and more infected, but to a lesser degree. The Swedes are imposing more and more restrictions - bars, restaurants, sports events etc. etc. Sweden is closer and closer to a lockdown. But that will be too late. Now, it is just too little.
