She is an absolute boss.
Yep, definitely one of my favs!
is there anywhere i can find updates and leaderboards for this Steigen challenge?
promotion has been surprisingly low key.
Yeah, but this is in Australia so her time is in metric. Converts to about an 8:58.

thanks.
zero international interest is disappointing.
... and not much interest locally by the look of things either.
Attempts from Stewey McSweyn, Gen Gregson, Sinead Diver and Camille Buscomb are scheduled.
Next month there will be a mile challenge:
Here's a better video.
Thanks for posting this.
Chepkoech can run that with barriers and a pond
Purrier looks "normal" too. It goes to show that you don't have to be a rail to be competitive.
Since when is rain "terrible conditions"?
For Purrier, I think she just ramped up the mileage.
Shalane was on thyroid medication at least at the start of her career, so I wouldn't be surprised if other BTCers were too. However, some team members like Infeld look pretty normal.
Hull has a slimmer built naturally (considerably less curvy than e.g. Purrier). Look for the video of the youth world cup where Mary Caine won the 3000m and Hull was about 8th or so. She was thinner than Cain already at 19.

What's interesting to me is that she looks normal. Hull looks 15-20 pounds heavier than Schwietzer and Houlihan. The BTC women all look unnaturally skinny. I think the BTC women are taking some sort of thyroid drug to keep their weight down.
we gotta stop with these sorts of comments on letsrun.
why are we judging their athletic ability based on their relative weights and builds? it's been proven time and time again to not matter.
remember when Alberto said Simpson had the biggest/fattest butt on the startline at USAs? and then she won the race.
if you want this site to be taken more seriously by athletes, stop making these pointless comments.
Those Wyoming high school kids who ran a state meet with sustained 60mph winds would like a word with you about "atrocious conditions."

If we are going to question Karissa Schweizer, we have to question Jessica Hull, right? A little bit crazier of a progression.
That is a pretty serious allegation. Any proof?
I remember her at a NCAA cross meet . She had a big booty !
Hull is very accomplished runner . Before Oregon she did the junior thing and had some nice results . I love the fact she is a great racer and her PR’s now are super fast
Why is this thread about the weight/appearance of multiple runners? We can do better than this.
8:41 with a wet track while it's raining is pretty good. Maybe worth another 8 seconds (8:33) in perfect conditions. Can't wait to see a fast 5k, but it might not be til next year. Happy to see Jess running well and excited to see if she chooses the 1500m or 5k next year for the games. Good potential in both.
