This is from 7/1, but the general public would be the last to know:

Maybe, they are rethinking their decision to not allow fear to overcome facts and strong data points.
Word is meeting with athletic directors and coaches happening at 4. Info will then be distributed to students athletes, then to the public.
The 4pm meeting is correct so...get ready
Lol.
This is a tragedy! Now they need to send all the "Brown Bears 2020 CFP National Champions" shirts and hats to Africa. How will we get by without the annual Brown-Columbia gridiron classic?
...and there it is. Waiting for the what the rest of the NCAA will do next.

The D3 Centennial Conference announced this morning they've cancelled all fall sports. When does the drip-drip become a flood?
Ivy League wants to have Fall and Winter Sports in the Spring, That is so Stupid, Example Imagine Cross Country, Indoor AND Outdoor Track ALL in the Spring, That is Way Too Much. I would just resume with Fall Sports NEXT FALL (If The Pandemic is over by then)
Maybe just drop indoor track & field, have XC in the winter and outdoor track & field in the spring...
As a runner graduating this winter after xc that would suck. Life’s just like that sometimes I guess
Never, outside of a few east coast conferences. They are the worst off and have the smallest room for student populations. They are cancelling to stop the masses from coming to new york, Massachusetts, new jersey, Pennsylvania which are all being destroyed by the virus.
Every year, tens of thousands of high school seniors from all walks of life compete for a limited number of spots on college basketball, football, baseball and softball teams. Ivy League universities and other elite schools also reserve a sizable slice of each class for kids with more exclusive pursuits, such as skiing, sailing and crew. While schools are trying to diversify the rosters, the sports remain overwhelmingly white, sporadically offered at public high schools and can require expensive equipment. The result is an admissions boost for the most privileged applicants.
Crew especially exemplifies how elite colleges tilt admissions toward the affluent. In the cutthroat game of college acceptance, an interest in rowing can offer a significant edge. It's an open secret among some parents.
"Rowing became a sport that was chatted about within certain athletic circles -- exclusively within these white upper-middle-class communities," said University of Oklahoma education professor Kirsten Hextrum, who studies college sports recruiting.
Uh oh, this could mean no BU meets this winter. All those 4:04 guys won't get their sub 4 this winter and those 8:10 guys won't get under 8.
Since the decision is made I'm locking and closing this thread. You can discuss it here now:

so others will know that the sports have been suspended.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
