Great stuff! Morgan Freeman's narration alone is incredible.
I watched Dirty Harry again the other day. Given current social mores that flick is something else. The pusillanimous mayor is going on about his police brutality, and Eastwood dead pans in his inimitable way (and I paraphrase) "What about the girl, doesn't she have any rights?"
I also think "In the Heat of the Night" (1967) with Sidney Poitier should be required viewing for every American student. While I will not dispute that we still have major issues, the stark bigotry portrayed in that film would shock anyone who is too young to have experienced legal segregation. Poitier as Detective Tibbs was magnificent and dignified and a style icon.
