Idk. It is on strava for sure. She probably cranked it out on the straight or downhill when she is feeling quite good. Who knows if it is real unless she replicates it on a mile race on the track or something.
probably a gps jump

Oh good point I forgot about the downhill stuff. Could easily be a downhill portion.

Her confirmed 1500 pr is 4:05
.Could be a fast downhill straight section on her strava. She's legitimately capable of a 4:16 on a downhill stretch.
No way. She hasn’t been fit in at least 5 years.
Lauren who?
It appears to occur from mile 6.7 to 7.7 (at the end she is going 3:31 pace!) Net elevation loss is about 170 feet.
There's no doubt someone could run at least ten seconds faster than her PR on a stretch like that. It's been done. There was (maybe still is ) a famous downhill mile in New Zealand where the men's "world record" was broken by about 15 seconds.
Anyone with some common sense would know that is a GPS error. Don't blindly trust everything on Strava.

Just balls. She should try to get the first woman's sub-4 on a downhill. If a 4:42 guy can run 3:46, she can probably go sub-4.
Who did that?

Nope. Look carefully at the GPS track. It follows that road closely from 6.7 or 6.8 to 7.7 or 7.8. A GPS error that give an overly fast time would be jumping off the road ahead of her actual location in the fast section.

Correction: 4:41 to 3:45-3:46. Kyle Pietari.
