I'm wondering what my weekly mileage should be? i've done 8 weeks of trianing after not racing / training since november 2017. When i say not training or racing i completly stopped running outside, and would just jog on treadmill really to remain healthy, overall over those last 2.5 years i probably averaged 13 miles per week, on treadmill.
To give more of a background so I get a more accurate answer... Prior to that I did my first half marathon after 6 weeks of training (prior to that I would run 40minutes on treadmill every or third day, for about a year, just for fitness, now that I know bout running, the effort was probably a 'steady' pace, every time , there was no change. the 6 weeks of trianign were my first time trainjng outside, and again I stuff was pretty much the same pace 730-8miles, I think I did 2 interval sessions, starting 2-3 weeks before the race day. I ran my first half mrathon in 142. The following year I aveeraged 6:52 min/miles for a 10.5 miler- during this year again I ran every second or third day on treadmill, at a steady pace, didnt really know about trainign etc, so porbably averaging 15miles per week, until summer- say June where I trained until September, so 3 months, and averaged around 25mile per week for these 3 months.
I've averaged around 30 miler per week so far, topping at 46 miles- but this included things like a 920 pace 19 miles , so nice and slow. Does 30 seem about right? or too much for this stage of re-starting into things? I'd like to consistenly get to 40 at some point, and put in a year or two of consecutive training which I have never done.
