There will still be guidelines in place about organized gatherings and working from home but let's be honest, no one is going to follow social distancing protocols anymore. We're done with that.

After the protests of the century are over (November), you better stay home! Selfish Redneck!
Ironic that the people with jobs were not allowed out of their houses last week but it is acceptable for all of the people without jobs to gather in large groups this week.
Up in Maine now, small town of 5k about an hour north of Portland. No one wears masks for groceries not even the staff....
It's okay to kill grandma now, apparently.
What are we up to now? 111K? It’s funny how upset people get about wearing a mask and standing a few extra feet away. They walk around the grocery store without a mask, not socially distancing, like they’re a GD war hero.

Let me guess, you have not lost your job/source of income, like some 40 million Americans have?

Many elderly have been killed this year by mask wearing requirements, ventilators, and social distancing restrictions, i.e. no visitors.

Wearing a mask does not protect you from a virus, but it does restrict the intake of oxygen, reduces exhalation of carbon dioxide, and increases cortisol in the body, which lowers immunity to all kinds of conditions and diseases.
Inside versus outside makes a difference, but will be interesting to see if the protests create a huge spike or not.

It won't...but we will likely be told otherwise

Funny you should ask. They just laid off 20% where I work and I’m predicting that I’m next to go sometime this month. I’ve been looking for another job.
I'm guessing when some conspiracy theorists said unnecessary deaths were counted for COVID, you were vehemently defending the theory that COVID is serious? I guess when the tide changes, your views go along with it huh.
10,000 people protested earlier this week in my city. Biggest gathering ever in the downtown streets, apparently.
But the governor just said our playgrounds and splashpads and such are going to remain closed for another week at least because covid cases have gone up.
Protests = win, playgrounds = lose.
If there are no spikes from this in three weeks, then maybe the guidelines will ease.

That doesn't matter. You're missing the point. The guidelines are now dead letter.
The government has gone from telling us that staying apart is healthy to trashing, looting and rioting is healthy. They seem confused.

Any idiot governor who says something stupid like that should be ignored and fired immediately.

If another 100,000 Americans die in June and hospitals get overwhelmed again, my guess is the guidelines will come back.
All this stuff has been politically motivated. We’re seeing just how much that is since previous lockdown shouters are now silent because there’s the new protests flavor of the week. This shows it was fake all along!
So now in November Trump will not only win the electoral college but this time the popular vote. All this politically motivated lockdown and protesting has done is get him more voters in swing states. The left especially the media has gone so overboard that they’ve handed him the election. Suburban moms in places like Ohio and PA care about two things. That’s the economy of keeping their half million dollar homes and safety. The lockdowns and protest riots encouraged by lefties have threatened both.
The thing is I want Trump to lose! But what was perceived to take him down has actually strengthened him. Wake up!
