well i think i watched about 30 seconds of the stream total. f this buffering.
incredible job though, 13:50 basically solo in HS. can't wait to see him in the jacks' singlet next year.

Yeah. Why couldn't he have just gotten a pro pacer? And why in Portland then? This event is a disgrace.
It's in Portland as it's convenient for the RunnerSpace crew and people producing this
13:50.55 official final time.
#4 all-time behind Rupp, Lindgren, and Ritz.
Great effort from Nico, terrible pacing work and terrible stream work. I feel bad for Nico in all this, with Brosnan hyping him up as much as he did early in the year and putting the pressure to perform in this setting.

poor rabbitting job if you ask me :(
13:50.
Disappointing but a damn good perfomance. Little help and 79 degs in Portland at the moment.

Someone produced that hot garbage?
what did ritz run in HS on a track?
agreed i mean they paced him through what 6 laps??? Like they couldn't get someone to get him to 4k or maybe a little more? Also the crap stream quality doesn't help anything either. At least he got a good time, for sure not what he wanted though
Brosnan goes home devastated

The pacers he had were basically the fastest random youth they could find around Portland

Yeah agreed. He ran great considering. But his coach didn’t do him any favors by hyping up records and Olympic standards, etc.
Awesome run Nico!
Brosnan, runnerspace, go home devastated

lol
He faded hard but it was a solid effort. He was within striking distance of the record with 1k to go. Not bad for being alone after 2400m, during a pandemic, and after track season was canceled.
Why did they go to Portland? Hell, it's cooler down in Newbury Park right now and I'm sure they could've found someone decent.

These two things had no bearing on the outcome.
Keep in mind Galen ran 13:37.91 against pros and got 11th. Insanely different.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
