Hey Nico!
He is in 13:10 shape but we will hold him back to 13:15 so as not to embarrass the college guys.

His coach said he is in AR shape and will feel happy with just a sub-13.

Giggled, I did
You guys have all forgotten that his coach Brosnan gave Nico a secret workout 2 days ago. It was a 4k time trial at 12:41 5k pace. Nico will run 12:36 and break Bekele's record next weekend!

I was curious as well.
Is it happening today?

I think so
Do you know what time it's supposed to begin?
Are you sure? Neither him or Newbury Park have posted anything about it on Instagram lately.
This is all that I've seen:

Boots on the ground just reported a 12:43.
Yep, seems like it’s happening today... seems a little strange though that the event hasn’t been advertised or hyped up at all.
I have no clue on the official start time, but being that the afternoon is too hot for a fast time, it'll likely be around 8 PM PST.

This is Brosnan's legacy. The race he's been hyping forever. He basically lives through NY's performances, so if he hypes it up too much and he doesn't run < 13:37 as advertised, it could be embarrassing.
Predicting 13:29.
If he does run under Rupp’s 13:37.9, it’ll be a shame that it won’t count as a record. A 13:37 in a TT during a pandemic after your track season was canceled is wayyyy better than a 13:37 against pros in Europe after being fed delicious Belgian waffles
