Amazing consistency - should be a contender if he can hold this fitness as a Master.

What about a sub 2:30 marathon in 5 different decades? 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s
Who has done that?
Looks like just one person here came close... https://www.arrs.run/TR_5Decades.htm Vladimir Kotov from Belarus just missed with a miserable 2:30:24 in his fifth decade.
Currently on 17years of sub 2 800m. Anyone know the record?
This is great!

Tommy Hughes from Ireland has nearly done it. Hasn't quite got this decade yet as all races have been cancelled but hopefully will get a marathon at the end of this year. He ran 2:27 at Frankfurt last year in October at 59 years old, turned 60 in January and he's in better shape at the minute than he was last year. Mark my words, he will do it!!
Steve Spence ran a sub-5-minute mile every year for 43 years.
There are a lot of "streakers" out there, but most weren't pushing the envelope except for a handful of years. Jon Sutherland, now @ 51 years of running every day, was a stud back in the day - 13:51/28:51.

Kipchoge has 10 years of sub-13:03 5000 meters (including 9 years sub 13), followed by 7 years of sub-2:04:15 marathons.
Combined with a 13:13 in 2002, he probably has had 18 straight years of sub-13:15 fitness.
Mighty impressive. I made it 20 years at sub 15. It took a 14:59.98 on the track at age 41 to get it.
Recently I ran a sub 20 min 5K for the fifth consecutive decade (1980s-2020s). Pretty consistent, considering my PR is 17:34.
Ugh dude is from BC aka Hippy town aka garbage town Canada
Going to try for sub 19 in my 6th running decade, getting harder....doesn't look likely at moment but who knows

BC is regarded by many as one of the most beautiful places to be in Canada. What's your problem?

He's probably from Onterrible. Or an Alberta ticked off we don't want his dirty pipe in our sacred forests.

Johnny Gray had 20+ years running sub 1:50. Wouldn't be shocked to learn he was up over 25+ (i.e. he was like 20 for the first 1:50 on IAAF.org and only 40 for the last) for sub 2:00.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
