I have a feeling they've been waiting for a specific cause of death before making any arrests...
On MSN.com, they have a headline saying that the officer has been arrested...but when I click it, it goes to a Zillow listing! (!)

He has in fact been arrested.
County attorney Freeman press conference in 20 mins

I don't get it, I've been watching that "First 48" crime show a bit lately and it seems to be 95% black people killing black people, often over something trivial. So why does this does this black lives matter stuff only come in to it on certain occasions?
What am I missing?

It is about abuse of power. I feel similar outrage when I think of what that cop in Dallas did entering a black man's home and shooting on sight because she thought he was a burglar. The man was in his own home watching TV and eating cheerios. Her defense was she thought she had entered her own apartment but she shot him on sight without so much as a put your hands up. Fortunately convicted and I hope this one goes the same way.
You're not Australian st**pid. What you're missing is any trace of integrity, which is why you make up a nationality and statistics.
Confirmed. Charged with third-degree murder / manslaughter. Also, Obama just released this carefully-worded but powerful statement on Floyd's death. Includes indirect references to Arbery and (Christian) Cooper.https://twitter.com/BarackObama/status/1266400635429310466/photo/1

Are you for real Douglas Burke? You are such a huge part of the problem in this country and you don't even know it. I try to believe that there can't really be people this stupid and naive to post a comment like you did, but of course along comes someone like you posting this type of crap. How is it looking yourself in the mirror every night? Can't be easy can it?

Police killing minority civilians while almost never being held to account.
What next in 2020 ?

Glad they arrested him.
I wish we still had Obama as president. What a difference between his statement and Trump further escalating the situation.
It is natural that even among the ranks of law enforcement, there are some bad apples. Some people are evil. It is imperative that justice is served. If cops are protected from the law, no one trusts them.
I've watched the video over and over again. The suspect passed out around the 4 minute mark and was probably brain dead shortly thereafter. He died a much easier death than Shannon Christian and Christopher Newsome.
I'm trying to feel an emotional response over this, instead of an intellectual one, but I can't. This is for nlack people to feel bad about, and they should.
They should also feel bad about the thousands of random black on black murders done in the hood, but they don't. instead they write hit tunes glorifying the gang lifestyle.
If you really watched the First 48 you would know those crimes are prosecuted. Crimes against blacks committed by white officers in blue are not prosecuted, hence the BLM movement. Here, the 12 is arrested, but note that it took longer than 48 hours, something that wouldn't happen unless he had white skin and blue uniform
I can say 95% Australians kill Australians in an Australian community/context/setting, and the same around the world for whatever scale you look at but you'd not expect a police officer to kill an innocent civilian.

But who's saying they don't feel both ? I'm tired of this BS. Despite you saying they shoukd feel bad about it it's like trying to find a round about way to put the blame on themselves. Do you have even a cursory understanding of what happens to black people when they try to empower themselves and their communities whose social and economic conditions historically they do not have responsibility for but somehow have to find the power to fix ? The very same thing. How would, or should I say, how much of a successful business plan does conscious hip hop make compared to the trash that is out now which pays idiots millions to make violent and misogynistic music ? Would the masses like to see strong, empowered and united black people express such through music ? No. Not a good business plan. It wouldn't sell because America and the world has been founded on a European colonial lie which says whiteness is the ubiquitous paradigm. All reality much accord to that.

Quote "it seems to be 95% black people killing black people", you're right, made up, which is why I wrote "seems", it wasn't meant to be accurate, but it does seem to be 95% black people killing black people, perhaps you can come up with a more accurate percentage.
You seem to be an idiot.

Nothing vile about pointing out what seems to be the bleedin' obvious.
Instead lets all bury our heads in the sand and pretend otherwise and it might all go away.
You also seem to be an idiot.
Anyway, aren't you the pommie white boy who pretends to be a fair dinkum Kenyan?, that's pretty vile.
