So you think if Kipchoge or any other runner made a similar comment about 100 meter to marathon range, rojo would not call them out? I'm 100% confident that he would call them out for such delusional thinking.
Even without the specific comments on range, only a complete douchenozzle refers to themselves as "supernatural." Can you imagine if the quote "I call myself 'supernatural', so I can do anything that I want" came from Rupp? The ridicule would crash this site.
Well, say Caster was able to run much faster than 1.54 for 800m. We all know that.
Say 1.49./1.50.
Now how fast could Caster run for 200m with that sort of 800m ability?
I see it as fast enough to be a medal threat.
How probable would it be for her to get a World or Olympic medal in the 200m (bronze would be sufficient to make a much louder noise than the eventual gold medallist..). Now consider that Caster steps up and after some 5 years specific marathon training, with that 1.49 ability... how fast could Caster run?
Impossible?
Well, Caster has the drive and determination, and now a reason to be "immortal" in the realms of sport and beyond.
I was totally for the decision that banned Caster from competing in the 800m and up but it might just well has given her the right platform to become a legend.
So you believe Semenya's claims that she is a super natural athlete that could be world class at any distance up to the marathon?
By making these absurd assumptions about rojo, you're only highlighting your own biases. If there were a man who could credibly suggest beating other men from even 200m to 1500m, there is no question that 99% of people would assume they're doping. Given that Semenya is a woman who can credibly make this claim, it's not unreasonable to believe she's cheating. Her cheating is enabled by people like yourself who are too busy labeling people instead of understanding that her physiological advantages come from testosterone levels exclusive to men.

Yes. That is exactly what I think.
If Eliud Kipchoge had made that comment, Robert would be very careful in what he said for 2 reasons:
1. Johnson can't beat Kipchoge at any distance.
2. Johnson sees Semenya as a freak and thereby subhuman.
He objectifies her as nothing and therefore makes her an easy target for his depravity.
He would not risk it with Kipchoge.

Robert Johnson of Letsrun.com is racist and sexist
I absolutely have biases and prejudices.
I'm human. But I don't go here and attack Robert, Weldon and Jonathan baselessly because I've had a bad day.
This thread started with Johnson attacking Semenya on claims she made about distance.
She didn't talk about fairness of competition, she didn't attack let's run and she didn't do anything different from banter any athlete does. Agree with her sex distinction or not, she or he (depending on how people see it- I still say she) has earned medals. She's earned the right to the banter.
Has Robert even met Semenya??

This is ridiculous.
I used to disagree with you regarding Semenya about sex classification but now it seems that you have an unfounded vendetta against Semenya.
Again, you're a site administrator. Why would you open up another attack on Semenya?
It seems like sometimes you find things to cherry pick, make it seem like it's news, and project it in the most negative light just to please your highbrow, petty shyster lawyer fraternity friends.
Seriously.
The way you give the news here reminds me of Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds. It's just picking at people with cheap beer in your hand.
Why pick on Semenya now?
What did she do to deserve it?
I do not believe this is a simple case of an athlete put in an unfortunate situation. It was extremely clear from the first time I saw Caster run that there was something going on.
As evidence came out Caster and her team really launched a PR campaign that misrepresented the situation. They really obscured the facts and played her off as the victim. It was very clear that she did not care about fairness and was more concerned about what was best for Caster.
Given the way Caster handled the situation and the fact that she could have very well destroyed women's track and field for 99.99% of women, I don't have any problems with taking offense to her comments. I think some of the rhetoric on these boards from some the posters directed towards her has been offensive but I don't have a problem with anything the Brojos have said.
That's fine. But I'm not even addressing the arguments about running, sex characteristics, testosterone, man vs woman, cheating or the like. I'm addressing this thread started by Robert on this comment by Semenya.
If Let's Run is supposed to be journalism, why this?
Why now?
Furthermore, as he claims to be a journalist, I want to know if he has ever actually met Semenya.

Rojo, have any answers, hun?
99.99% of female T&F athletes compete in the 800?
If Rojo ever does run for Baltimore Mayor, my first action will be to contact the Maryland Black Caucus and forward to them every thread like this Robert Johnson of Letsrun.com has started

Who cares?
Rojo doesn't hate Semenya.
He's simply calling her out for spewing more bullshit.
He's reporting, to his readers, of which you're one.
Based on your posts here, you're easily triggered and are actually displaying the same behavior you describe Rojo of having.
Life's not fair, and being born with testicles with male hormones pumping through a female-ish body does not qualify for competing against actual biological women.
Sociology does not trump biology. Caster continues to flaunt her "ability" against females. She continues to show no respect or regard to female athletes.
Rojo, as with most rational people, is continuing to advocate for women by calling out fraud in sport.
Caster is a fraud until she completes against other men.
....In that realm, her 1:54 is about #85,003 on the all time performance list and would be good for about 10th in any high school meet right now. And probably half a million other HS dudes can beat that 200 time today.
Not exactly supernova stuff.
Neither is your continuing diatribe against Rojo.

It's not important for the poin of this thread, but I doubt this. She might have been sandbagging in some races but not in her 600m WR and neither when she tried to get the 1000m WR as well as in several 800m races when it was very likely that she would be banned soon, she tried but failed to get the 800m WR. She might have got to 1:53 low or 1:52 and change but not 1:50.
Good for tenth in any HS meet? In the Sacramento area her 1:54 would have qualified the state meet in 2019. Did you ever run 1:54?
I don't have much of an opinion on this matter, but your post caught my interest in the extent to which you make so many assumptions about 'rojo.' People tend to be more complex than the neat, black-or-white boxes you've made for them with these convoluted, imagined stories. Such thinking is a large part of the reason our country is so divided now. Each side of an issue casts the other as an evil cartoon villain, and no progress is made.
Ironically, Rojo is starting to look like Trump and Letsrun.com is beginning to resemble the OANN of running.
There's always someone running game for Trump, be it Pompeo, Gaetz, McEnany, Hannity, Limbaugh, McConnell, Graham, etc.
But here's the reality.
In this thread. Son, look. This thread. Not any other thread. Semenya was quoted in an article online .za about what she said. The article says much more than was actually quoted by Johnson (which is what OANN does).
Wait.... .za? Oh. That means South Africa. So Robert Johnson would have had to specifically look up Caster Semenya currently to even find this article.
Nobody from ".za" would have furnished this to Johnson.
He'd better step back because even if Semenya is strong, this is starting to look rather Derek Murphy.
You don't want to be that guy.
Please stop. Caster has not ever done anything to you. Have you even met Caster?
I forgot to include how the divebombers run game for the Brojos.
That establishes the similarity
Random?
You would not have entered a post about Caster Semenya ready to defend the complexities of Rojo if you were random.
Stop
