I've known Ciaran many years. I'd say at this point in our lives, ideologically, we disagree on more than we agree. However, to perpetuate such salaciously slanderous and baseless claims regarding a man's 'career' without a shred of evidence is rather disgusting.
Having had him live with me while training for periods of time, I'll provide the evidence you can't, but to the contrary. Multiple times at 6 a.m. I'd get a knock on my house door from WADA in which I'd wake Ciaran up to take a drug test. He passed...ALL OF THEM. I witnessed the hard training, strict diet, and regiment that produce the successful results he experienced during that period of.
As to the person harping on his social media posts. He's posting 'positive' things for other runners to follow. People like a good story. For a long time, Ciaran was in a negative rut. Let the man reinvent himself as he gives things another go. It doesn't impact you and the great thing about social media...if you don't like it, you can just unfollow it and go back to your miserable existence.
I'd like to see a comeback. He's had great mentorship from his college coach and seems to be reinvigorated as to giving things one last go. Everyone likes a good second chance success story.
