Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

It's a private and hidden group so you can only request to join if you're friends with a member on FB who sends you an invite. Apparently he was thinking of doing Dopey in 2016. He coming back in and posting trivial stuff, because he likes the attention I think, so I've got everyone ignoring him until he answers real questions. I keep asking him for his estimated slpits but he just ignores the question. He did give usd a different LV finish photo that I've nott seen before though. Is a lot more detailked in regards to 'sweat' patterns and the sunglasses are back. Obviously I saved it and I'm screenshotting everything

You don't need to know Chinese hackers to spam a board. Any active board attracts spammers. This board intentionally has very lax access controls (like, none), so when spammers see it at the top of google search results, they attack it.

these are not facts, merely conjectures. We cannot be 100% certain what his sweat pattern would be like, and we cannot tell from a photo anyway.

we dont know when start photo was taken. he could have dropped off sunglasses and headphones before the start. he could have them in the spibelt.

I would stick to actual facts.

The sunglasses are back in the other medal photo I just shared. Mick posted it on FB today

I wear a GPS watch for my races and I don't think I have a single race saved anywhere. I use the watch to make sure I don't go out too fast and then from that point I basically just focus on racing. Hopefully I'm never crucified for it.

quick question, ignore my ignorance-- but why does his medal say relay? was it the normal marathon finisher's medal? Just a minor point. Doing Dopey in 2016 seems to be more useful than being his facebook friend at the moment (Although he's gone quiet now)

I've looked at every from roll 1 to roll 16 (so far). As well as the other set of photos that is mostly of the HM's.

Do you mean the photos near the sculpture? Rendall is there.

I am approaching Mike Rossi's age and am coming back from a pretty long injury break. It is like starting from scratch. There is a huge difference in what your body can do in your 20s/30s and what you body can do in your mid 40s. Rossi is also big guy. Probably 160-180lb. And it was hot on race day. That just goes way beyond the exception to approaching the impossible. I knew a guy who was a very talented collegiate runner who ran sub-elite after college for fun (2:2X marathon). He quit running after a couple of big injuries and got back into it when he turned 45. He could not get under 3:10 his first try back on the marathon even though he had been running decent 5k/10k and 1/2 races (@19, 39, 1:23). It was just too much for an old pair of legs to jump back into the marathon after about a year of training. It is just anecdotal evidence, but it is hard to believe Rossi at all when guy who has tons of talent and is built perfectly for the marathon struggles to run the same pace as a guy who has no talent and who carries a lot more weight.

Is that a foot pod on his left shoe? Wouldn't that record to his watch, even if his GPS was off?

I've noticed in a few different running photos that there's something on his right shoe. Is that the race chip? Ours are normally on the back of our bibs in the UK so never seen anything like that

The Brojo website strategy seems to be quantity over quality. So the easier it is to post = more posts. That's why there is no login reqs and no prove you're not a bot (except for that silly "who is not an american" which is the same question, every time). I could probably write a script in minutes that could spam this board.

he does wear a TomTom or Nike+ (rebranded TomTom), and he does upload his workouts to some kind of online log, so it would be strange if he haven't done it for the race of his life

Ha ha, and we are just supposed to believe him. Also, why wouldn't he use his time to get the guaranteed slot??? That is just plain stupid. I hope I see him there so I can trip him...of he will be with the 4 hour pacer, so I probably won't get a chance. Unless I have a gluteus medius tear or IT band problems.
