I can't believe the broadcast. Lemma is making a HUGE move to drop the men's field and all the broadcast is showing is Hannah Storm at the finish and a Meb retrospective. Why have the rights if you are not willing to tell the story of the race?
Harvard, outside of Yuki/Des type weather, no move in the first 10K matters here.
I disagree. Meb gapped the field and got the win. Admittedly he didn't get the lead until 8 miles which isn't in the first 10k but you get my point.
Looked like she tripped and got tangled up in another women and they both started to fall down right before coverage switched. And the idiot broadcasters never went back to it or mentioned it.
And now she’s back up front. Why is she running 2 seconds ahead of the pack??! What’s the point of doing that so early?
Her coach is encouraging her to see how long she can hold AR pace, no doubt.
They're talking about the wheelchair pay - $40,000 for the winner, $50,000 for a CR. I think that's great, but it would also be nice if they would raise the prize money for the runners. Hug will be in London next week to race again. Whoever wins amongst the runners cannot compete for months. $150,000 just isn't enough.
At least there's only about a half hour of wheelchair racing left to watch.
Wheelchair race is FINISHED! Hug the Swiss for the Nth time. Now can we watch runners actually racing??
Huh, I'm watching ESPN Live on the west coast and the wheel chair race is at 1:14 mark and Hug is just about to finish. Ok I was off about a half hour.

Since Emma Bates just came back from injury, I'm guessing she's taking out the pace this fast with the idea of not finishing. I can see her dropping out at 10 miles.

But he was running 2:08 pace, with the pack ignoring him. They were busy marking Ryan Hall, who intentionally held the pace down so they’d have to make up the deficit on the hills. This pace is reckless.
