For the US military one could correctly summarize the rule as:"the justification for acts done pursuant to orders does not exist if the order was of such a nature that a man of ordinary sense and understanding would know it to be illegal".

So if the choices are that I am either stupid or do not know anyone who has served in the military, which I think are themselves incorrect, can I offer a third choice: Ken you are wrong, wrong about the movie you cite, wrong about military law, wrong about the Nuremberg defense, wrong about your confederate/nazi nonsense, and wrong for being a generally miserable little annoyance who latches onto this thread in an attempt to derive some respectability, purpose, or legitimacy from the work and interest of others: namely running.

I think the DJs have been out in force because this discussion was starting to target the one person who saves Rossi -- that's Barb McKeever.

A smarter person would see that. They would have made the right call in May. But now her name is almost as bad as Mike Rossi.

So many people have kindly offered you good advice - just talk about Mike cheating and not yourself or anything else - stay on topic. But no. I live very far away so it won't matter to you, but I would tell anybody I knew to avoid you and your business like the plague. However, while my opinion of you doesn't matter, you ought to consider that maybe other people who live in your area, who have read this thread, feel the same way about you as I do. Consider that you have done and continue to do irreparable harm to your own reputation. So the byproduct of Mike Rossi getting more publicity, is this thread getting more publicity and so more people are reading this and also forming the same low opinion of you as I have done.

I know you won't stop, because you are immune to good advice but you are not doing yourself any favors. I would never have used Mike, or let my friends use Mike, because a 47 year old wedding DJ is just weird and sad, but the cheating would for sure have made it so I'd never hire him. You haven't done anything to change any of that. All you've done is made it so I'd also make sure anybody I knew would never hire you.

There is a big difference from stating an opinion that some Nazi soldiers committed atrocities because they were ordered to and were afraid for their family's lives versus calling them heroes.
