If you guys want to get busy with the marathon organizer, sort out how much they get paid and how the non-profit is getting pennies on the entry fee dollar. Ms. Mckeever gets paid well to sell the image the marathon is raising money for some non-proft, not actually raising money for a non-profit.

Most people find the rapacious greed, shielded by a non-profit, very distasteful.

Obviously, not all athletic events everywhere are run like this. But, McKeever's event has all the classic symptoms of a tithing scheme.

I can understand why it should be removed from government buildings. It does represent avery dark period in our history. But the publicity from this is probably going to have the exact opposite affect and many southerners are going to wave the flag privately with pride.

And frankly I am in favor of that. The truth is that many Americans died fighting for what they believed in. Just because the issues and reasoning are not PC with today's standards doesn't mean their sacrifice is any less heroic. It's what they believed was acceptable at the time. Those who fought for the confederacy should still be considered war heroes and honored.

You clearly do not understand copyright laws. I am producing a private home video for a couple. They will never show it in public and for a profit. It's called "fair use".

To date only two videographers have ever been sued by a publishing company and both were because they went viral and a judge determined they were promotional videos and not for personal use.

Now the use of a Walk The Moon song in a promotional video for a business is a different story - and that is something you could find on somebody's YouTube Channel. That is a clear violation of a copyright.
