btw, did anyone know before this thread that wedding DJing or videoing was a job? I thought it was just something you asked your cousin to do for free. I had no idea people paid significant money for it, much less that "grown" men would catfight like middle school girls about it.

I think the wedding "industry" caters to the "designer weddings" and the supply caters to a demand that by default already accepts a certain "fakeness".

Think I might tackle this cuz it really seems such an obvious troll effort. The person who posted it must think there's hundreds of people who ran VIA both years. I bet the number of people who ran both 2013 and 2014, BQ'ed in 2014 but not 2013, and ran Boston 2015, will be under 10. Of those 10 or so people several probably BQ'ed elsewhere, came close to BQ'ing in 2013, or have Athlinks times showing they're capable of BQ'ing.

I already did the research. Took like 20 minutes. I just copied the results from 2013 and 2014 at VIA into excel and then had it highlight duplicate entries. Basically, there were only a handful that didn't qualify for Boston in 2013 but did in 2014. I then looked at their Boston times. Not all of them ran Boston. There was nobody that stood out. He was trolling.

If by "war" you mean Mike lobbing grenades at any one who questions him, then yes. But it's a war that only makes him look more the fool.

There is no possible way that this all ends well for Mike Rossi.

How badly it ends for him depends on how much he keeps talking. First thing a good PR person would tell him to do at this point is just delete his twitter account.

Best case scenario for him is to shut up and let everyone assume he cheated. If he keeps a low profile and doesn't remind everyone that he ran Boston every other day, then the fire runs out of oxygen and dies out.

If he keeps being typical Mike Rossi then everyone will still know he cheated (trust me Mike, you aren't converting anyone to your side) and we'll all see more examples of what an a-hole he is as well. Sooner or later he will have a few drinks and go off on somebody on Twitter and totally ruin his reputation (such that it is) in his community.

If it wasn't for him causing the principal harassment he wouldn't have been outed as a cheater. Part one : publicly push a demeaning letter about a principal and never actually send it to her. This was all about a letter she didn't write but was obligated to send to the family . Part two : keep doing national interviews after you find out about death threats and constant harassment to her. A woman who is contractually obligated to remain quiet and not able to respond btw.

His supposed cheating brought him the 30 seconds of fame that ultimately caused the public discovery of that cheating. I think that alone makes this all fair game on this thread.

Part three: be sure to include her full name in your viral letter, even when you could easily have hid it.

I thought Cecily Tynan did a great job as Rebecca Morgan in Sounder, she wasn't fake at all, very believable as a 1930s sharecropper.

The thing about the letter, it so obviously existed solely as a platform for Mike to remind everyone that he ran the Boston Marathon despite some personal "hardships", showing what a hero he was.

To me, it's just one more small piece of evidence that he cheated to get there. Running a BQ time is so far beyond Mike's abilities that he really thought it was something to brag about. Someone that can legitimately BQ knows there are plenty of people faster and that a BQ is not the end all be all of running existence.

Mike, I hope you read this:

Appears from Athlinks the author, Rebekah Page-Gourley, is a runner herself with a marathon best of 3:30:35, so another runner pissed off with cheaters like Mike.
