Once people know they were fooled they don't like being fools although a few maintain appearances.Man if this were any other runner you'd be so humiliated you'd have to beg forgiveness. Mike has already passed the expiration date on that plus we're pretty sure he likes this attention at the expense of everyone else in his miserable life.Mike wins! clapclapclapclap

Cicily posted this on Facebook three hours ago. Already 137 likes, 48 comments, and 15 shares.
From her Facebook post: "As a runner and, more importantly, a mom who tries to teach my kids the importance of honesty and good sportsmanship, I find this story very compelling.
What do you think?"
From the PhillyMag article drawing attention to her Facebook post: "So, since Tynan decided to use her vast social media platform to ask her followers what they thought, we thought it only appropriate to ask her what she thought of the Rossi marathon controversy.
"I'd LOVE someone to offer me $100,000 to run a 3:11 marathon," she wrote in an emailed response. "I ran a 2:54, 3rd woman (Disney World Marathon), and all I got was a Mickey Mouse trophy! If his Boston qualifying time at Via was legit, he should be able to run that time again (especially with the $100,000 motivation!) It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, that's for sure.""
The comments under her post are interesting. Unlike previous Facebook comments, there is no questioning if he did it, or whether people should be calling him on it.
Nearly 100% are calling him a fraud.

PRs Please wrote:What are her PRs?
No idea... never heard of her until now (I'm in California and saw that article "suggested" at the bottom of the other PhillyMag article posted on this thread.
She's got some respectable times on Athlinks:
http://www.athlinks.com/Result/Search#!athlete/cecily%20tynan
Just a quick glance I see stuff like:
10:51:21 @ Kona Hawaii Ironman
1:00:38 @ Cherry Blossom 10-miler
lots of mid-high 18:xx & low-mid 19:xx 5ks
Appears to be just a meteorologist who likes to run. But she's a local media personality with 138,380 likes on her Facebook page, so this will get some attention among the local Philadelphia community, and perhaps among those that don't run.
For example, one exchange:
Ada Nestor: As someone who is not a runner, can someone explain what the controversy is?
Cecily Tynan: Have you read the article?
Ada Nestor- Yes, but I got a little lost in all of it, honestly.
Ada Nestor- How would someone be able to "cheat" a race?
Rebecca Reed- Because he needed to finish that first race in a certain amount of time to be able to qualify for the Boston marathon. If he didn't finish in the time he said he did, then he should not have been permitted to enter the Boston race in the first place. And that means he took a spot away from someone who legitimately qualified to run it.
Ada Nestor- But, I've been to some bike races, and Spartan like races, and it seems automated. So how could he cheat that system? (Not defending him, just don't see how someone could cheat that system).
Cecily Tynan- If they don't have timing mats throughout the race, someone could start, jump in a car and drive to the finish, and cross the finish line. Or, in the case of Rosie Ruiz, take a subway in a big city.
Ada Nestor- Wow. That's ridiculous.
Andrea Wonderlin- In his qualifying race they have relay marathon teams, so there are cars and people are in and out of them through out the course. Making it even easier for him to cheat.
Ada Nestor- That's insane. If it's true then I hope the entire world that stood behind his viral letter, takes as equal a stand against him cheating, cause that's a great example to set for his children!
Timothy Vandervlugt- He was the ONLY runner in the top 200 not photographed at the mid-race check points.
Ada Nestor- Pretty damning.
Here's the cliff notes version
Ada Nestor: yea I saw the article, but it was really long and I don't really care that much. Furthermore, I'm a productive individual so I'd rather spend my time improving society, the economy and my family than worrying about whether Mike Rossi cheated in a game of Don't Wake Daddy.
That's why she intelligently replied with question after question and then came to an informed conclusion.

From the article: "...it’s fair to say that there are far more Facebook folks condemning Rossi or at least expressing skepticism than there are supporters."
Serious question, has anybody identified themselves, as in real name, openly come out and supported him and stated they don't think he cheated.
Do you think Cecily Tynan got her cease and desist letter yet?

It's being worked on now, we're just having a bit of trouble with this bit:
"The basis of these claims are patent on their face".
It was as clear as mud on yours:

Haven't heard anything about you winning lately.

He's best friends with Kelly Ripa. He could go on that show and Michael Strahan could beat a confession out of him.

The tax on 10k is about $2,000.00 probably , and I guess around $20,000.00 on 100k , so if the offer is in cash Mike should insist on cash or the check be written out to "Cash" when in a years time he takes their money , AND no DQ . that'll be a bitter pill to swallow.
