Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

I really believe that if this article had come out a week, or even a few days before LVM released their decision that Mike Rossi would have been DQ'ed at that time.

And that would have actually been better for Mike because the non-DQ has really ramped up the disgust at the whole situation. Had he been DQ'ed originally I would bet that this thread would have died out a long time ago.

Thanks for your patience and for insisting that we follow through on our promise to publish our findings. Being scared of a potential lawsuit isn't a good reason to let the integrity of our sport be thrown by the wayside.

Did they take any risk? No, none at all. There is zero risk calling out an obvious cheater for cheating.

Like others, I'd like to know who the attorney is who wrote the email to Let's Run and probably to LVM. My guess is he is either Rossi's relative (maybe by marriage) or does work for Rossi's employer or for Rossi's wife's employer. Then again, it could just be some Philadelphia lawyer who was more than happy to send an email or two for a small fee. It will be much harder for Rossi to find an attorney to file a defamation suit. Any decent attorney would want to see Rossi's "evidence" first and would require a significant retainer before filing anything. But, Rossi has no evidence, and I doubt he would throw away money on a retainer to file a case he couldn't win.

The bottom line is that Rossi cheated and LVM thus far has allowed him to get away with it because they don't care about the integrity of their race or of the Boston Marathon. Ever since LVM issued its bullcrap statement, Rossi and/or the trolls on this thread have been fond of posting: Mike wins! But, the reality is that Rossi is a loser, an epic loser, perhaps one of the biggest losers of all time in the running world. Truth be told, the LVM, Barb McKeever and Bart Yasso don't come out of this looking very good either. Apparently, Yasso wants LVM to just focus on raising money. Well, Bart, had LVM focused on doing the right thing and DQ'd an obvious cheater, I submit it would raise even more money in the future for its charity, especially if Rossi had tried to challenge the DQ. Bart, you, Barb and the other folks at LVM blew it on this one, at least thus far. But, it's not too late. Reconsider the decision, DQ Rossi, and watch what will happen. You'll be amazed at the Good Will the race would enjoy among those people who care about running.

Since you guys put your names on the record, so will I. C'mon, Mike, show us the photos! Show us your GPS data! Show us your Google or phone records! Hell, show us the emails you sent to your family and friends before the 2014 LVM where you asked if any of them were available to watch you run the marathon, the race you had targeted to get your BQ! What's that? You don't have any of that stuff available? No, that doesn't surprise me. It's just proof on top of already conclusive proof that you didn't run the full course and you didn't legitimately earn a spot in the Boston Marathon.

Haha, I've just been tipped off via (no pun intended) the journos grapevine about the LR article. Why haha?, because LR have also heard that the story could be going main stream, as I predicted and got flamed for, LR wants to get in early, can't blame for that, makes good business sense. Anyway, two recent articles so far, FanBuzz and LR and I believe another forum is running hot with it, unfortunately my editor is still not keen on it.

Or is it that the person at a higher level (once again, I'm assuming Mikey) should ignore those below him, because those below him will expire due to lack of oxygen? Are those people in a coal mine or something?

I seek Mikey as soaring high, like an eagle or a spaceship, where the oxygen is thinner. Not a bald eagle, of course.
