Hello, D1 distance coach here. I also recruit out in the midwest and have athletes competing at the NCAA level (though I'm in the west region). For what my two cents are worth, I know nothing about Andrea as a person, but many distance coaches I've talked to at the national level are saying Toledo just signed the #1 women's class in the entire country this year. It's fair to argue against that, but they're certainly in the conversation. I can't think of anyone special they've signed the last few years, so this one seemed to come out of nowhere and has been getting a lot of buzz.
Considering they don't really have a rich history as a program, no special resources, or really anything appealing about them that I can recall, I'd say that's pretty impressive to do within a couple years of taking over. Especially only a decade removed from a national scandal involving a creepy male coach having inappropriate relations with women on the roster and creating an unsafe environment.
They were close to NCAAs this year if I remember correctly, and have had a steady flow of individuals competing at NCAAs the last few years. I don't imagine she'll stick there long as she certainly has higher ambitions (especially after losing out on what she thought was a sure thing taking over at UNC), but in the time she's been there I see no reason to be criticizing what she's accomplished... we're talking about an incredibly small percentage of coaches doing more with less. Let's move away from this conversation because clearly some people have a personal agenda with her, I assume she's rubbed people the wrong way or something.
Illinois - Director of Operations
What's up at Iowa Central? Saw the "Head Track" job posted. Is Dee Borrow going/doing something else, or is this a "Head Coach" who answers to a Dorector
This position answers to Dee Brown, the Director

Or, we wonder what you have against men?
or maybe it is because she assisted them to a 9th and 11th place finish at Conference USA…
All you guys do on here is look to talk negative about the next person. What does that solve? If you want a coaching job go out and get one and stop complaining about others on here.
Well, you should probably consider that you replied to a response to a negative post.
Hey Tony, Raynee, and Adrian…. You all need to get a life. Stay off the forums and give the coaches a call if you have an issue instead of hiding behind a screen. You all have skeletons that are too easy to spread. Take the high road going forward.
I assume you mean;
Tony Houchin
Raynee Revard
Adrian Ghioroaie
That’s and interesting group for sure.
It sounds like sour grapes from the last guy who bailed and dropped down to d3 who can’t stop complaining about Andrea and staff with how personal they are getting about the roster and such like he left some kind of dynasty or something

NCAA rumor on Auburn is they are interviewing and talking to people in Eugene. One recently free SEC head amongst others. One name that keeps coming up is an absolute “you gotta be s$hitting me” laugher…Dion Miller from Arizona State. Head coach in waiting to grave digger for that program. Guy has single handedly ruined Arizona State. 3 Sprint coaches on staff and can’t qualify any women, hardly any men and can’t score. Zero relays in meet as sprint head coach! Thank goodness for throws repeatedly Saving his butt. Makes sense though - can’t score in sprints in PAC 12, probably perfect solution for Auburn in sprint power SEC. Obviously perfect choice. War Eagle.
How does this make any sense ?? You’re saying Stephanie Sherman who had been at Toledo for THREE years with the previous staff, but according to TFRRS had never broken 17:25 for 5k or scored a single conference point, but in year TWO (year one cut short by covid) with Andrea was an NCAA qualifier is somehow a credit to them?? I’m confused. What about Petronela who was a stud when she arrived at Toledo but for THREE years with the former staff didn’t match or exceed her incoming times or qualify for NCAA (actually not even close) but in year ONE with the new staff (Andrea) went into the indoor meet ranked 5th in the NCAA and then made her first ever outdoor NCAA. Tell me again how this isn’t a credit to her and says anything good about the previous staff??
Athena needs to be left out of this (the previous staff KNOWS this has nothing to do with Andrea). Judging from social media the two of them (Andrea & Athena) seem to be on good terms FWIW.
So, if Andrea gets no credit for coaching athletes up let’s check on the new athletes:
Lou Trois, Margrett Watt, Crystal Clark, Joy Chirchir, Faith Linga, Semra Karslan Emily Vining, Madeline Vining?
TFRRS says they are all running well and setting PR’s.
Andrea is in year THREE (one cut short by covid) and they just WON a conference xc title, and nearly had three NCAA outdoor qualifiers to Eugene (Faith and TWO 13th place finishers) but oh yeah credit to the old coaches who left three years ago for that success. Lol
Any chance this poster is the former coach she fired, who was fired from his two previous jobs, or the former staff?
Hey Adrian get off LetsRun and find a job. Lots of projection going on here and wishful thinking !!
My bet is Andrea (and Nick) will get the last laugh over these posters.
lol, ASU was terrible well before Dion. Get out of here with that "single handedly" bs
