Gary Martin Should transfer

Vin Lananna isn’t a coach anymore. He’s a Track & Field political nightmare. Gary is a huge talent and should have been in that 1500m final. He has two years of the NCAA left and transferring could be a good idea.

He would have qualified from heat 2, closing in 53 is not his strength

Ah yes a 3:54 mile, 3:37 1500, and 13:31 5k as a sophomore is a massive disappointment. He’s made great strides at UVA, just because he didn’t make the final doesn’t mean he should transfer.

Transferring is always difficult and a hard decision. Martin watching today was painful. His form was not good from the start. No finish either

UNC is a much better distance program. UNC was on the podium at cross country NCAA’s and lUVA went backwards

Gary loves UVA. He will keep improving and teammates make for great relays.

Vin has a guy in final of 1500, steeple and 800. Pretty solid so far.

Gary Martin is not as talented as you all think. He's just never going to be a 3:32 guy. It's his genetics.

His muscle fiber type is best for 3k/5k but he is too tall and heavy. His build is good for 800m but he doesn't have the speed and turnover.

He's doing better than I expected him to do in college at UVA. Their 800m guy Cohen is a BEAST, Mountain is the favorite to win the steeplechase and his teammate Porter qualified in the 1500 for the final.

Hard to blame the training when everyone else on the team is doing so well. Gary is just not what you think he is.
