Any actress or model would envy the range of facial expressions in 32 minutes showing her curiosity, enjoyment, frustration confusion, determination and joy. She turned a usually boring grind of an event into a master class of entertainment and in-the-moment immersion.
I thought her antics were odd for a race: this is the ncaas. Waving and looking around and all over the place. She’d actually be dqd where I live for lack of sportsmanship in the state meet

Yes! Please keep track and field boring!! DQ her! Too fun and too much smiling! Nobody wants to watch that!
It was inappropriate. It’s one thing to smile if your teammates are cheering for you. It’s another to be tripping over runners feet because you are too busy not paying attention to the race and then rolling your eyes/being annoyed when the girl pacing you is trying to go around runners and you don’t leave her enough room to go around.

This! I want my racing to only include appropriate racing tactics! Trying to gain a competitive advantage over another athlete, or getting in their head, is not ok! No being arrogant or cocky in sports, nobody likes a winner that knows they’re going to win! It’s just disrespectful!

Hey Karen! Loosen up. I don’t think a wave from her was even noticed by the others. She’s already in their head by running next to them. You seem like a real buzz kill, Karen
One of the times she was looking over at the sidelines she was tripping over her own/other peoples feet when she looked back because she wasn’t paying attention. If Roe, Hilda or herself went down after that, people would’ve been mad. Why risk it?

This. But I don't think she means bad, just is oblivious. My impression of Valby for quite a while now is she is like a race car driver with an incredible engine, but does not know how to drive real well. The past tangent issues, still seemingly little idea of pace, this business with Roe last night. But the engine does get fast times. I still wonder about her top end foot speed as well.

What happens when she goes pro? Will she get the Caitlynn treatment for a bit until she wises up? Anyway, hoping 1) she stays injury free to see what the true potential is and 2) she doesnt drive the same way as she ran last night on the track :).
I think about Parker Valby all of the time! She is so pretty! She has a wonderful personality and a great smile! I love that little tongue thing she does when she is tired! She's funny! Those legs!
But since she will never be mine, I cannot stand her arrogant face making and waving. Her fun-loving approach is disrespectful and an affront to other track girls that I am simultaneously crushing on. Boo Parker Valby!!!
It was inappropriate. At 12:22 in the race, her lack of focus (mugging for her friends, looking around, whatever) almost caused a pile up.
The other athletes have the right to race and compete in an atmosphere that is as free as possible of unnecessary tripping and bumping. Yes, there is bumping in racing, but in the early laps of a 10,000, in a group or four, you should be able to expect people to pay attention and hold their space.

Cry me a river. If they don’t want to get beat by Valby, they need to run faster.

1) Nobody is "crying"
2) Whether they are going to beat her or not, they should have the chance to compete without a fellow competitor horsing around
3) It does not matter if it is her or someone else, racers should pay attention to the race
4) If someone who is ugly as a shoe tread tripped you and your race was ruined, I have a feeling you would understand
5) In this case, her actions didn't matter (no harm, no foul), but she should learn from that little trip and do better
EDIT TO ADD:
I think that was her best, most sincere and mature post-race interview yet.
This post was edited 2 minutes after it was posted.

I almost made a thread about this but theirs enough Valby threads already.
she does give me Caitlyn Clark vibes and I feel the Olympics trial will have a “WNBA” sorta vibe with her racing the Pros. I do believe that the race will not be fast so Valby will have a good shot but when she moved with 1600 or less to go she will have a crowd going with her or if she is following a pack it will be a solid group. She is not going to be the fastest 1500m runner in the 10k field but good thing is she has been practicing her best race strategy of making the US team and that’s a long drive home
