It's official, the cali folks are soft. They travel the least, are acclimated to the weather and get trounced by the Northeast and Midwest runners.

I'm taking across the board, NXN included. Obviously NXN was more competitive, but still, the guys at the top in NXN don't have great track credentials and cross credentials from the previous seasons, if you compare it to other years (with the exception of Brody Hastey)

It's time to scrap the Footlocker Champs. Talent is too diluted. Footlocker is basically a Nike subsidiary, anyways.

Don't scrap it - we need FL, just like college basketball needs the NIT tournament alongside the NCAA tournament.

Maybe just have a B-race at NXN?

The big problem for the NXN individual race is top individuals that might be on a qualifying team might hold back, reducing the quality of the individual race. But that's a minor concern compared to the diluted nonsense we have now.

extremely dissapointed with the race. FL is officially a joke now. One of the weakest fields I've ever seen. only 1 guy under 15:20? Really???? Nike is laughing at footlocker right now.

Saw the Claudia Lane interview after the race, where she pretty much said she is coming back to try for a "3-peat" at FL next year. Someone needs to let her know that it might be more impressive to have won both FL and NXN. So, she should not be afraid to travel up I-5 and go for the NXN win. I'm guessing that is where Tuohy will probably be racing next year if her team has a solid chance of qualifying for NXN.

Very impressed with the overall production of the entire broadcast today!

I agree the times in the guys race were overall slower, but that is championship racing on a hard course in very dry conditions. On many of the dirt stretches it was obvious that the soil was soft, loose and slow. Lane almost rolled her ankles a couple of times.

There were great fields in both the Foot Locker Meet and the NXN event. I like both races and hope they both continue.

I agree, and also would love to see Tuohy race at Foot Locker. Tuohy seems like a more efficient runner, but she struggled to get up the small hills on the Nike course. I don't follow her and not sure f she struggles on hilly courses, but it would have been fun to see her race Lane up the steep hill at FL.
