Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

I thought the same thing, but this does post an interesting question for his accusers. Obviously they started and finished the race within seconds of each other. What are the chances that Rossi left the course and would re-enter the course so that he would finish right behind him? Did he remember this person and what he looked like? Did he cut the course, as some maintain, and wait for the guy in the lime-green tank further on down the line and jumped in right behind him? Thoughts?

You're asking whether it is possible to jump back in a race after cutting the course? Obviously yes, people do it and get away with it. I don't know what happened in this case, but I'm guessing you could hop out of the woods as if you were taking a bathroom break. The runners you rejoin with would probably just think that you had been in there a while.

Sorry guys and gals. I've been gone for the last 13 hours or so as I had to get my car fixed this morning. I ALSO HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE. I lied last night when I said we can't look up IPs. We most definitely can. I just wanted the person defending Mr. Rossi to keep doing it under different handles.

So here we go. Johnny Two Times was right. Pretty much all of the posts defending Mr. Rossi were coming from the same IP address.

The following posts all came from IP: 98.235.239.44 which when I look it up is Comcast Cable - Camp Hill, PA.

"Soccermoms", "fasterthanyoudbag", "Sub3HourMarathoner", "BostonBQ" and "SpeedyGuy" are all the same person or at least from the same IP.

I think all we need now is someone who has corresponded with Mr. Rossi via email to see if his IP is that IP address. Off course it could be a friend or family member doing it, but if it we can prove he's been defending himself under fake names claiming to have run with himself, then I won't have to do any more research at all for my story.

Does anyone have any emails from Mr. Rossi? Look up the iP on them.

I'll be more than happy to go on the Today Show to talk about this guy, even debate him. In the history of the world, I'm pretty confident there has been any human with a 21:52 5k fitness level that has run a marathon in 3:11. Phsyiologically it's impossiblet to go 8 times as far, only slowing down that little.

If no one on the forum has it, I'd guess that one of the many reporters he's been in contact with should have it. He communicated recently with the reporter from Phillymag.com, sounded like it was a written, not verbal, statement from Rossi.
