The leader (Japanese) has such awkward form. Like his legs practically cross over each other
I know, there's lots of ugly runners though. they get the job done.

18 part race recap incoming - "was feeling so great the first few miles, the rush of leading the race propelled me forward. Each step full of purpose and ambition. Unfortunately, I learned an important lesson today that even when you feel great, going out too hard is a big risk and doesn't always pay off."
Thanks for actually updating the race. If I was only watching this coverage, the half bird arm carriage guy is still leading.

Rojo, you guys should spend some time and energy finding ways to improve these broadcasts.
You must be new here.
I miss the mass starts. Doesn't feel like a big race when it's only like 20 dudes.
Looked like Lemma ignored the 1st drinks tables but he looks really focused on pushing the pace early
Top 13 is madness. Lemma on 2.01.00 pace. Someone on 2.04 pace will pick them all off on the hills

2:01:00 pace
Every year: why is this coverage 50% wheelchair, 25% sob stories, and 25% actual running?
The split screen is prob. Still occupied at wheel chairs.

They might be letting Lemma go for now
Lemma already panting.
13 guys have gone out in under 14:30 for the first 5k which is downhill. 14:21 for the leader Lemma which is 2:01:22 pace. The American Elkanah Kibet is out with them in 14:23. CJ Albertson and Suguru Osako are leading the chase pack at 14:53-4.
Now remember, there is a massive 250 foot elevation drop in the first 5k which might be worth something like 40-45 seconds.
5k in 14:21. In record breaking year they hit 5k in 14:47 but had a huge tailwind.
Sisay Lemma, who has the fastest pb in the filed, is now 50+ meters in front. Zouhair Talbi is chasing him and then there is a gap to the main pack.
That Kelvin Kiptum segment looked like a teen sitcom skit. Cheesy music and font choices.
Rojo complaining? I’m shocked.
I can't believe the broadcast. Lemma is making a HUGE move to drop the men's field and all the broadcast is showing is Hannah Storm at the finish and a Meb retrospective. Why have the rights if you are not willing to tell the story of the race?

Almost as bad as Flotrack
