At least we now know the US Olympic Trials is going to be an interesting race.
Solid race for Ritz in 7th (2:11:20).
Meb finishing now in 2:12:40 ish.
2:09:18 for Lesisa desisa so probably add 2 seconds for the official time
2013 winner of the Dubai and Boston marathons and the 2014 RAK maratho, 2nd in the 2014 NY marathon and now boston again two years later and he's only 26
Meb...what a guy...amazing. Congratulated the lady...fantastic moment for her.
I think Geb might have something to say about great 40 year old marathoners...
Who's the hottie that Meb hugged? 2:40 marathon chick?

We suspected this might be the case before the race and today confirmed it: Ritz and Meb are on a different level than the rest of the American marathoners.
In his defense, Desisa is a lot easier to understand than most people from Boston.
Looks like it will be hard to get a medal in the 18-39 Age Group

Everything about Meb is awesome. Couldn't have a better poster boy for the sport.
Great touch by Meb at the ending, crossing the line holding hands with a lower elite lady!

I do. Impressive turn around from his race in LA last month.
Bummer he isn't going to get the OT standard. He definitely could have done it in LA if it wasn't so hot, and then he got less than optimal conditions here. He's projected to finish at 2:18:50 based on his 40K split.
That gesture of Meb's, grabbing Dionne's hand and raising it. She'll never forget that.. The guy really has a sense of the moment.
The woman Meb congratulated was Hilary Dionne of the BAA (Dartmouth '05; go Big Green!)
Quick reminder, Bill Rodgers may have been third today.
