I don't think many believe Bol has any chance against sydney. But god bless her for stepping on the track.
People will always be fans of those who love to compete. This sport is hard enough to be a fan of as it is, if everybody was like Sydney, it would be damn near impossible to follow.
I like Sydney. This is just who she is, combined with the controlling tendencies of her coach. But it sounds a bit foolish to criticize when they are doing things nobody has done before.

Bingo. Jakob is cocky, which I don't like, but I am a fan because he shows up. He runs XC. He runs indoors. He doubles. He doesn't run afraid. The same applies to Sifan, and also for Femke. More power to them and to runners like them.

yea, what a weird thread. Bol is indeed very likable (not because she is white but because she runs everything including mixed relays and is always smiling and lifting up her competitors). But I digress, Syd is clearly head and shoulders faster that her at everything and is not on the downslope of her career. They should both get faster on average. Bols dream is Syd going to open 4, that leaves Bol to duke it with aging DM, and some also rans. Bad time to be a 400H female. They need SM out of there. Karsten at least as Rai on his vapor trail and probably Two Saints as well at this point. But Bol aint catching SM within 10 meters anytime.
Seems like Bol is a lot less efficient at 400mH than Sydney. Her winning times:

Those races took place on different days under difference conditions. She was also fresher in the flat race. Who knows what the times would have been if she had done the hurdle first?
They have a knee jerk dislike to jer because shes white, and good looking.
They've been brainwashed into thinking that supporting, cheering for, and wanting a beautiful white girl to win against non whites, is somehow a sign of their innate racism, so they just wont let themselves do it.
