I don't get the hate. Emma's splits have been pretty even, she just didn't pick up the pace with the front runners. It seems like she is running her own race. If the leaders are soft pedaling the beginning that isn't her fault.

Easy with this stuff. Linden is, you know, a past Boston champ/2:22 marathoner/Olympian. Hall has run 1:07/2:20. Why wouldn't they cash in on appearance fees? There won't be too many left after another couple of years. Gotta think about their futures. & I would say running in the main pack shows they still have a little something left.
I think Des is officially competing in the master's race this year but I could be wrong.

Nope. He blew by him, closed under 2:10, and finished a very solid 7th.
Probably ran the smartest race of anyone in the top 15 or so.
