Cheating at 5 hours or even 3:11 and getting away with it is one thing. Cheating at 2:30? That would be a lot harder.

It's all a moot point anyway, because Fence Hopper isn't really a Mike Rossi supporter and doesn't believe that either. He's just trying to keep this thread alive by pretending to be one, which, I think is actually pretty fun.

A good cheater knows that pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. 3:11 was a great time - no podium, BQ, walk away, and no one is the wiser.

If I were Mikey, I'd start doping, train like crazy and try to put up a really good time at Chicago. If he were to BQ in front of a Let's Run "entourage", he'd brake the cheating narrative. Of course, maybe he already was doping, and that is how he got to 3:40 on 15 mpw in his late 40's without an endurance background.

I'm surprised some of the LR community near the LVHM haven't formed a protest group that would start next year's race together, get in a car at the 2 mile mark together, go get coffee together, then re-enter the race 3 miles from the finish and finish together around 3:11.

You guys could all wear custom-made T-shirts with our BQ hero's face and the words "Official 3:11 Pace Group" printed out on the front for your one and only official race picture. I'd do it, but I live in Calif. Get a big enough group together, though, and I'll help pay for the T-shirts.

That's been suggested many times already - but in jest. We'll have to see how everyone feels a couple weeks before the race. It certainly would cause a huge media sensation when a couple e dozen runners go on TV to confess and admit they were trying to cheat their way to Boston to impress their family, the way Mike Rossi did.

We wouldn't even need to design a t-shirt. He has been proudly posting his green Boston clipart fiasco all over his FB page. We could sell it and the proceeds will go towards an anti-cyber bullying organization in the name of Madame Principal Marbury.

You guys have about a month before this is completely in the history books. Look at how little the media in the US cares about T&F NOP doping as it is. That is a multi-million dollar juggernaut. You'd better hurry up and get some results.

While this may be an unpopular thing to say, I think you should confine yourself to comments regarding Rossi only (there is no reason to mention his wife or children) and his marathon and other race times. This is a running board, not Festivus.
