Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

Google "Mike Rossi"....... I'm sure the real MR does so every night, as well as potential employers, clients, and girlfriends. He's a media whore and now has to have his social/web presence on complete lock down. The guy can't even post a video on youtube without getting blasted. I'm satisfied, and entertained.

Have a friend who is a professional runner who had posted something on his own Facebook timeline calling Mike Rossi out for being a cheat, his post was removed by Facebook… Mike, when you read this, just know that this will never go away… Sure, most of us will move along, but we will occasionally check in on this thread and call you out for the cheater you are.

Hey, I made some bad decisions many years ago and it's still on google. go ahead, google me. I'm sure the real Mike Rossi is very satisfied with all this. But thanks for firing up the crazies to keep it going. Again, I remain satisfied and entertained.

Sadly Mikey, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence to show you lacked the ability to run a 3:11 marathon and an amazing number of photos to prove that you were nowhere on the marathon course where the mythical 3:11 occurred.

You'll be happy to know we already use "pulling a Mike Rossi" to denote a cheater etc. - someone who cut, faked an interval, or exaggerated their actual interval time etc. Gets a laugh every time. Rossi refutes that there isn’t photographic evidence of him running the race.

“I have a selfie picture of me at the start and there are photos of me at the finish and video of me finishing the race,” he said.

“The race bib system also documented me at the start and finish. An independent photographer took my picture at the finish.”

Surely Rossi himself must realize how ridiculous he sounds here, right? As someone said in the comments, no one disputes he was at the start and finish. It's those pesky miles in the middle we're concerned about.

Yea, right. I think they have your run times and a total lack of photos of you running that marathon. It's like saying your alibi for a murder was that you were at a party, but nobody saw you at the party. You think the cops would believe that nobody seeing you at a party proved that you were at the party? Now there are also photos of everyone else who attended the party at the party except you - and you think that proves you were at the party? I think someone is wearing a tinfoil hat Mikey, and it's you. Nobody is that dumb, Mikey. You didn't run the race and the photos prove it.

And guess what, if they did DQ you, I'm sure you would say that a DQ doesn't prove you cheated either. You could be videotaped getting into a car and driving away from the course waving a sign saying "I'm cheating" and you'd be adamant that it wasn't you. You'd deny your own family before admitting anything.

It reminds me of how Lance Armstrong would always go on about how he never tested positive - so that proved he didn't cheat. Except of course, he was cheating the whole time, they just never caught him.

I think the race's decision is a reflection of how it views Boston qualifiers in general. If MR had won the race then there would have been a DQ. The problem is that he is "merely" a Boston qualifier.
