Except it has a lot of merit, because you cheated, Mike. Remember how you didn't actually run the whole course, which is why you aren't in any of the photos from the course? Yeah, that's actually cheating, Mike. The point of a marathon is to cover the entire distance by foot. It's not just crossing the start line, making your way by whatever means possible to the finish line, and crossing the finish line. Its cheating if you do it that way, Mike.

My story has merit. Now they might not publish anything because they believe everyone realizes at this point that Mike Rossi cheated, but not because the story doesn't have merit!

If someone can figure out how to convert and upload an animated gif to youtube, please go ahead and post the URL here. Perhaps letsrun should offer a $100 reward if someone can spot bib 2161. Regarding copyright, I doubt this is an issue - these are the publicly available proof images, and no one is using them for personal profit (unless they claim the $100 prize). However, if the photo company objects, then I believe just submitting the video to the VIA race director will be sufficient. If you really want copyright violation, then just add Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" as the soundtrack...

My guess is that Mike already bought the domain name for MarathonCheat.com. He might already be planning to use it as the title of his autobiography as well. We know he is good at planning ahead!
A video (made up of still photos) from one spot on the LVM course showing that Mike Rossi did not run past that spot is pretty damn strong evidence. But, I have to think that two such videos from two separate spots on the course would be conclusive, by anyone's definition. Thanks, BQer!

So now you're saying he rode a horse from the start to the last relay exchange, then killed the horse to get rid of the evidence? That seems awfully far-fetched, up there with the "he drank magic unicorn blood and turned invisible" theory. Why would he do that? It would be much easier to just drive. People would notice a guy riding a horse.

One of the things I so enjoy about this whole thread is narcissists like Mike envy others while believing others envy him. He went through all this Lehigh cheating/Boston qualifying nonsense so he could be just like like us, and he couldn't do it! He had to cheat! Yes, the same people he keeps imploring to get a life are the very same people he envies. Why? Because we can actually run BQ times, and Mike can't.
If Mike increases his mileage, he should be able to run a legit BQ. If I were him, I would probably be staying away from the road race scene though. Most runners capable of BQs know that he cheated and they're pissed that he hid behind a lawyer rather than admitting to his mistake.

Most outside of letsrun are deluded to think that qualifying for Boston is something few LetsRun posters can do and that we are just jealous of Dr. Litton and Mr. Rossi

While there are a lot of issues that you can try to claim "there is no proof" (no course photos, amazing time given limited training), but when you promise something, you are caught in your own lie.

I had to head to work today and have limited computer access, so just did this fast, a little bit of research to find a direct contact to Mark Singer and a more through email would be awesome!
Is it possible Mr Rossi had a manic episode or was cycling through a period of mania associated with grandiosity or was on something? Im thinking it's possible with the ego being so high and going through the period of blasting the school principal combined with the creation of the custom t-shirts.
I'm thinking that a reasonable ,well-adjusted person would have received that letter from the principal in the mail and then have controlled his anger and have just worked out a reasonable thing with the principal instead of getting all pissed off and writing a letter right back at ch'ya.
This is just another angle to this by the way. It's pretty clear to me that he cheated at Lehigh VIA marathon.

I was thinking the same thing. Why doesn't Mike stop posting here and start posting on other threads to get this one to disappear onto page two? Then less runners will be aware of his cheating. He's just adding fuel to his own fire at this point.
