Lemma's turnover has slowed

Did they cover when Lemma got away from the pack? Did he go out hard from the start?
We saw none of it, because the wheelchair race and Gronk were more important

It was fairly early but not right from the gun
Get away with that toxic motor in front of women pack, poisoning them ffs.
Lemma only lost 14 seconds between mile 23 and 24 and leads by 1:30 so he's got this barring total disaster.

John Anderson said he ran a 5:52 but the leaderboard shows 5:00 and still a 90 second lead with 2 to go.
lmao it was 5 flat
Chase pack only gained :13 on the 24th mile.
90 second gap.
Lemma's lead down to 1:20, fding fast. He'll hold on, but not by that much.

Race is over. If the chasers were going to catch him they’d look like they were in full flight right now.
He’s close and holding it together. If he doesn’t collapse, I think he’s got it. He will rally the last mile.
I don't trust that announced split. 23 to 24mi was 5:00 on the tracker.
they just corrected that. 5:52 was the womens split

The chasers will probably hit 4:30 average for the last 2, they're really picking it up. Can he hit 5:15s? Probably, but...

False. It looked horrible on the hills when he was running 5:30 pace but now he looks fine.
Lemma seems fine 21-24 was 15:08. Downhill miles but had a big enough cushion. A pair of 5:0x's & he wins comfortably enough
15:55 for that 5k...
Lemma earned this. Good for him! Put him on the team.

Lemma is great, but did we really think he would shatter the course record without a struggle? No
The chase pack will be aware of the gap and it will be too much mentally
women's mile was 5:52!! Not Lemma's
The random wheelchair commentator may be better than the regular comentators but it's kind of random she's on here.

I don’t care about the wheelchair races.
Why?
1. Because the definition of a marathon is not 'covering 26.2 miles by any means possible, and using any technology possible, except perhaps gears'. Should rolling skis and poles be allowed if people have weak hip flexors? Rollerblades for those with bad foot muscles? Do geared or non-geared vehicles better approximate running? Is the idea even to approximate running? What, besides giving organizers and broadcasters a contrived feeling of moral responsibility, could be the point?
2. Because the accomplishment of winning something when the subset of willing and able participants is exponentially smaller is less of an accomplishment.
