Exactly right. Furthermore, I feel that the LVM decision is less important than having the BAA come up with reasonable criteria for BQ races to minimize cheating. That would be a worthwhile point for Rojo's article. So, I'll join the chorus. Rojo?

Exactly, it's over. Only 100% CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE of him leaving or re entering the course would be good enough. That's the standard the RD set. Jesus could come down and say he saw him cheat and it would still mean nothing.

It doesn't matter if they remember or not, they won't have conclusive proof, such as a picture or video of him cheating. It's over

It is impossible for MR not to show up any photos during the LVM. Impossible. He knows what he did and will have to answer in the end. The BAA should remove LVM as a BQ if the RD does not step up to her fiduciary responsibility to protect the integrity of the LVM.

the thread is getting boring, nothing new, humor merely quotes Animal House and is not original to the thread, I am pretty sure even MR has stopped reading this thread

After several weeks of emotionally following this thread and probably reading all or most of the posts I am forced to realize that I have spent probably 3 minutes reading (and re-reading) per page or almost 900 minutes (15 hours) of my life following this not counting clicking to refresh or the time posting. Overall I have probably spent a full 24 hours of my life on this. I can't get that 24 hours back, but I refuse to give it another 24 hours.

Emotionally I will keep checking back to see if there is new evidence unless I change my world.

So I hereby take the pledge: I believe he ran 3:11, I will read and post to this thread no more forever. Definitely not under this name.

I am 12.5 years old. Anything is possible, well almost. We all know it was not possible that Rossi ran that entire race.

Pretty sure you spent more than 2.5 weeks pondering the cheating Mike. Second, Darth Vadar at least admitted he'd gone to the dark side. Pretty sure even Darth wouldn't want to be in your company. Think of Darth as an RD: Jabba the Hut runs a 3:11... and a guy that size doesn't show up in any race photos and has a 5k PR of a couple of light years. He'd light saber his fat ass faster than you can say "Death Star".

This site lists the Lehigh Via Marathon as having 22.2% of the runners last year BQ. Remember this was a hot race day. I wonder once they add more mats and the cheaters disappear what the percentage will drop to? 5%?

Actually, it will probably stay about the same and that's a good thing. If 10% of the people had cheated Mike would be able to show that he wasn't the only one to not show up in pictures throughout the whole course. That seems to be the most damning piece of evidence we have is that he's the only one who wasn't there.

That's also probably why there weren't a lot of checks in place for cheaters. No matter how many we find here the amount of runners who actually pay to enter a marathon and then cheat is really low. For a point to point course someone has to really plan and go out of their way on how they're going to cheat the course and not get caught. The RD probably didn't expect anyone to actually drive the course without getting caught. And even if they did, who's going to actually care. If it weren't for the letter to the principal nobody would have noticed or cared about how easy it is to cheat at LVM.

I sense an awakening ....
