If Vernon wanted to bury the hatchet, he should have been a man and made a public apology. Expecting Mo to just agree to disagree and show respect to a guy who berates him publicly, but is over a half lap away from him at the end of a 5000 is pretty bold. Vernon is clearly just trying to use Mo to get himself into the press when his running won't get him any press.
I'm 99% sure its true. Mo is horrible and aggressive. He's not as dumb as people think and now Vernon has crossed him he's making it difficult for vernon to compete and earn money on the circuit. UK public opinoin has swerved here and his reputation has been tarnished due to 1, his public spat - yes vernon may have started it, but can you imagine someone like Rory Mcilroy or Jessica Ennis responding like that? 2, The fact he has ducked many races including the commonwealth games, which people paid good money for, and finally 3, the fact that his crack pot of a coach is almost certainly a dope pusher and mo holding his hands in the air and saying 'im clean' isn't convincing evidence.
I hope the curtain falls on Mo drugs cheat money hungry nasty man farah.

This is exactly how I see the situation. Vernon's behavior has been appalling. His accusation that Farrah--who grew up in the greater London area--does not deserve to be the European champion are horribly insensitive. In my view, unless and until Vernon apologizes for making these comments he deserves to be told to f-off.

That is what Vernon is referring to when he says that Mo has done worse to him. Mo has tried to make Vernon look like a racist when he did no such thing!
Vernon is loved by the British running public and Mo is increasingly disliked. That says a lot to me.
I'm not talking about the general public who get their information from thr mass media, but those within running circles. People who know them, know of them, have interacted with them, know people who have interacted with them.
If you turned up to any road or track race in the UK and just took a general consensus of the opinion on both runners it would be hugley posiitve about Vernon and at best a mixed bag about Mo.
Mo accusing Andy of racism in the public domain without any evidence whatsoever was a very low blow.
It is testiment to the power of Mo and the mainstream media that people on this board believe it to be true and make their judgements of Andy based on that.
It is testiment to Andy's personality and great character that the overwhelming majority of the British running community think he is a great guy and support him 100%

My bad. I just took Farah's quote at face value. When Farah said "hhame you didn’t make the line up … again" I thought that meant Vernon dind't race. I did think it was weird he was in teh stands.
Vernon was so far back I must have never seen him in the race.
Was anyone at Lausanne? What explains some of the awful times? It must not have been a great day to run fast. No one would do the following at Stanford.

I would say my agenda is to cover the world of running and give running fans interesting stuff to read.
We aren't a 'tabloid'. Far from it. We have a paid staff that wrote 6,600+ words recapping the Diamond League action yesterday. 6,600 words. Please tell me who else in the world came close to that.
It's not my fault that more than 3 x as many people are currently reading the this thread than our women's recap (more people are reading the men's recap than this thread). Thtat's just what people are interested in.
Do you want us to go back to the days of the 1920s when the press just looked the other ways when sports figures and politicians had affairs, late night esacapades, etc.

If you are right, which I dispute, the British running community is showing that there will always be an England, a provincial island perceiving itself as the center of the world.
