As much as I hate everything powder blue, the guy is right about earning potential. The average Carolina degree is worth much more over a lifetime than an NC State one.
I'm an NCSU grad and my NW is upwards of $10Mil. Wonder how many Tarheels can top that?

Michael Jordan?
Read 'em and weep fellas. Read 'em and weep.

Bragging about your salary, which is an outlier even for the best MBA programs, proves your either a liar or Jim Goodnight's son. Way to rep the pack.
Great town, great school and an ok program. the entire checklist has more goods than not.
I say go there.
Enjoy the beautiful campus, town and maybe you'll stay?

Interesting that you bring up only 5-10 year range since every other range UNC grads earn more. Since a much higher percentage of UNC grads pursue post-graduate degrees (medical school, dental school, law school, B-school, etc.), it …
Wow! Thanks for pointing out what "post-graduate" means. I had no idea medical school, dental school, law school, B-school, etc. is(are?) post-graduate. What is B-school?

Really? Then, you are one very stupid individual if you didn't know that med, dental, and law school were considred post-graduate programs. Jeez! B-school is Business School you dimwit.
Geez op, if the people on this thread are representative of North Carolina you might ought to consider a different state.
You should see the UNC guys in bars. Dressed in baby blue, they get wasted and start trying to kiss other men who are not into that stuff, then baby blue starts screaming nobody loves me,crying ,mascara running all over baby blues face. Its a hot mess. Same thing plays out night after night in Chapel Hill.

Judging a state with millions of people from a few message board trolls is always a good idea

Yeah, I wouldn't want you to do that, more just expressing my dismay that this thread, which could have been (more) useful to you turned into a bashing thread. At least it sounds like there were a few guys who ran there who offered some advice. I've spent a lot of time in the Raleigh area, and it always seemed nice.

Thanks. I actually got some decent replies. Sounds like a good program. I need to get a little faster before I think about going there though.
Went to another school in NC, but I grew up in Raleigh and am living there currently.
-State has a much better/more consistent team and program than UNC (not that that's what you asked, just throwing that out there since it seems to be the hot topic in this thread).
-Raleigh is a great city. Not huge but small enough to where you can get to know the area quickly and find the places that you like and don't like.
-State is a good school. Not great, but an ACC school nonetheless.
-The team is very close knit, like a lot of NCAA teams.
If you are being recruited by them I would definitely recommend taking a visit.
App State baby !!!!
NC States running program is solid and Raleigh isn't bad. NC States campus is kind of a dump and the people there are a little different but overall, not bad.

That wasn't sarcasm. You are claiming that now as you backtrack on your statement.
The vast majority of NC State's team struggles to ever break 15:00 in the 5k if that gives you any indication.
