he trained like a madman aided by a cocktail of drugs
thats what brought him success
the growth hormone had a bad effect on him... his teeth and skull and fingers later

HAHAHA El G is the most obvious doper not to be caught, along the lines of Lance Armstrong. Ghost is a lying scumbag automatically, for defending the cheating scum El G.
Uhhhhhmmmm. Did you not hear the news? Lance doesn't have his yellow jerseys anymore. Apparently he was doping and is busted. Banned. El G?
ELG was not a dopper. Can we move on? he was clean.
HG and KB are also clean. Mourhit was a dopper.
Are there many doppers out there? we don't know before they are caught. Eddy was caught so he was a dopper.
No, it is unpossible. Hicham had his veins replaced with Kevlar tubing by the Moroccan federation to prevent this from happening.

What is a dopper?
The more appropriate question would be "Is it possible that Hicham ElG didn't dope?"
Thanks for resurrecting a thread from 6 FREAKING YEARS AGO.

never tested positive.
Neither did Lance.
ya ...what are the chances he didn't dope?
1 in a 100 maybe with all the circumstantial evidence about moroocan athletes and epo use at the time
nice coincidence how both the 3-26 guys lagat and el g need braces to get their teeth straightened as adults
got nothing to do with growth hormone of course.......
i could take a stab at his doping regime and i'd say i'm not to far out..
Insulin
Epo
Growth Hormone
testosterone
Cortisone
Anyone can do a workout everyday if you do it right. You don't need drugs. Furthermore, did you have the endurance that El G had? You can't just compare your mile times without comparing your distance times. You can only ratios if you guys have the same endurance.
We will never know

Now some of you all may think im trolling, but look at this guy. 3:43 .. I don't know if anyone has ever brought it up on here, and by no means saying that he has, but I mean look how hard people have struggled to break 3:50. If Hicham wasn't doping does that mean he could have broken 3:40 in the mile?
What does it matter? This forum is divided into two types. The majority are reasonable functional human beings can see it as obvious that El G doped, just like most of the African elite of the last 30 years probably doped.
The minority have some of kind of weird and fundamental need to believe that Africans are running Gods, almost a different species to Europeans. To deny this, in their eyes, is racist and we deserve to die horribly. Even if it was somehow proven beyond any doubt that El G was injecting EPO six times a day from the age of 12, they would actually claim this as confirmation that Coe, Ryun, Snell etc must have doped too and that we are all in denial.
But you do make a great point (back in 2007). These people who think the likes of El G were clean would have to claim that he was capable of truly absurd times such as getting close to 3:20 for the 1500 and easily sub 3;40 for the mile, if he had chosen to dope, when now that Moroccans are subjected to stricter testing, they can barely break 3:32 or 3:52. Some of these people actually believe El G was clean and Coe (for example) wasn't, which would mean that El G would likely be about 3 or 4 seconds a lap faster than Coe, perhaps the most technically perfect runner in history, despite essentially no new training methods.
Well in short running too much faster than 3:30 should be a redflag for anyone, given that it is running at 2:20 1km pace without exhaustion . So times like 3:28 or quicker are incredibly suspicious especially if they lacked raw sprint/800m speed like El Guerrouj did.
