Problem is if she moves to 1500, she will need to deal with Hiltz, St. Pierre, Johnson, Mackay, et al. In the 800m she basically has Wiley. Much better chance to make teams in the 800 for Hurta.
She’s a 1:55 runner and can’t make indoor final. something must be off
Seriously. She ran 1:58 two weeks ago at the Sound Invite. She wasted a little energy in the first 400 but when it comes down to it, she didn't have it today. You can't run 2:01.71 and expect to make the final.
From 5th in the world to going out in the first round of USA indoors
What a disaster of a race. And she really had no excuses. She is a 1:55 woman. She just ran 1:58. And she runs 2:01.71? Yes she used a little extra energy early on between 300 and 400 but not 6 seconds worth.
Just wonder in general if the OAC group is not prioritizing the indoor season as much as they have in pervious years. Maybe Yareds disappointing campaign last season which started off with such a bang indoors (WR mile) plus another sub 3.48 and ended with him watching the world championship on the tele, slightly shifted the philosophy and focus with DR. Beamish also doesn't look like he's overly sharp or motivated this indoors either.

She is not a 1:55 runner. She has only broken 1:58 four ties in her entire career. Wiley has already done it four times at her age. Mu has done it 10 times. Hurta has focused on the 800m her entire career and her best times ever:

One race doesn't make someone a "1:55-runner."
Actually, when you run 1:55 in a race, that makes you a 1:55 runner.
There's no way to watch minus a usatf subscription? Meanwhile I can watch Cleveland St v Robert Morris basketball rn.
We gotta stop nickel & diming actual fans of the sport & professionalize our biggest meets. Everything should be on one network & that network should be something most people already pay for. No reason not to put both days on Peacock. They must make next to nothing there so they're willing to split the biggest winter meet & charge $12.99 to a lot of HS/college runners + adult fans. It's not a winning strategy. People are only going to do it so many times. Put the meet on a network & spend time getting people to tune in so you can renegotiate better deals.
I know she loves the 8, but after XC I wonder if shes not suited to longer distances

She should move up to the 10k. If she could hang for 6 miles, her last 400 would be unstoppable in that event.

Sure, it does make her a 1:55 runner semantically. However Rojo (and you?) are acting like her expected time is now 1:55 in all races going forward because she ran it once. That's not how it works.
