Astonished she's broken her patella running. Never heard of that before.
That's my question, I've never heard of that as an overuse injury. Granted she's always been willing to put in crazy miles, but it sure seems like it must have been an accident of some sort, no? Not to add to the speculation, but if anyone has an idea of how that type of injury occurs let us know.
Individuals can have hormonal imbalances and bone density issues for years and years after they've had an ED, even if it was for a short while. Even if the only stresses you place on your body's systems are from simply training at a high level.
First of all, I have always been a fan of her. My brother is the same age so I saw her run a lot. Second of all, millions of people post about NFL amd NBA athletes. There is downright hatred and love for athletes. If that was encouraged in track amd field, there would be more interest. Thirdly, you called me a loser. Nobody has called Molly a loser but you are quick to do it. So you formed that strong of an opinion about a person based on a few written sentences but others are not allowed to feel that way about people who they have witnessed for many years?
that's a good post. I do think she might not be aware of her privilege sometimes. Same with Izzy. That said it's still not hard to feel for what she went through.
I grew up near her. I have always been a fan but she is wealthy and privileged. I am wealthy and privileged. My brother got into drugs while attending Princeton. He is clean now but he created his problem. Runners coming from war torn countries have overcome things. We create our own hurdles when life is too easy. She grew up rich and went to one if the best colleges in the world. Other medalists grew up in huts and they ran away from bullets while looking for their next meal.
She has a knee injury you idiot. I don't come from wealth and privilege, I'm from a lower middle class blue collar factory town. If my family went on vacation it was a miracle and I've had knee injuries.
If you believe that, why resort to name calling? You should be much more lenient on the, than you are on Molly. She has everything whie they have nothing.
I don't understand how some posters seem to get satisfaction out of this update. What the hell is wrong with some of you guys?
It’s really sad. There are a lot of people on here that feel they constantly need to belittle others and enjoy seeing others fail because it makes them feel better about themselves.
This is a good reason to take the anonymity out of this message board.
To be critical of her is cowardice. If you put these cowards in a room with her they would never talk the way they write.
There would be no unfounded drug accusations and we can have intelligent conversations.

Because he's a loser. I love this message board I just wish the moderators could do something about crap like that that hijacks a decent thread.
So many have been stolen by anonymous losers who take the rest of us off topic.
That's why.
The point was- she has an injury- that has nothing to do with wealth or privilege.
No excuse for foul language? That is a normal response. Calling people losers or idiots is against the rules. None of the posts talking about Molly violate the rules.
