Shrader 59:05 at Mile 12, 22 sec up on Nestor and 48 on the field...BUT very tough hills coming up the next 5 miles. Pack is catching up.

Shrader is a 2:13 guy (Chicago)
From Boston, former steepler
22nd in Chicago, my 17th pick there, here is my bio:
Next across the line should be Brian Shrader, 28yo and ranked 548. His PB over the half is 64.03 for 15th in March in NY. Four weeks later had a DNF at Boston marathon. Here is my profile from then:
Brian Shrader is a 27yo who could be next with his debut last year on that ineligible course at Sacramento, running 6th in 2.13.30. He is ranked 93 as a steeplechaser and 573 at the marathon.
Emma Bates looking very strong and composed, picked her as my dark horse, love how she lives and trains off the grid.
Shrader looks like he is toast
these non-marathon segments are giving me cancer. wow.
Mile 12 and it's 48 seconds left.
Shrader looks like He is now in pain., Mile 12 - only lost 2 seconds on this mile, lead down to 48 seconds.
Schrader just gave a look that said he is toast... bummer.
Not many Alphaflys for the leading ladies, maybe 2 out of 15 ?

Will the Tokyo marathon course be so hilly?
If not, why use this course to select the team?
Yes, initially, then japan switched it after the USA picked a course to match the Olympic course. USA didn’t make the switch after everything was set. Probably signed financial contracts. Sht happens. Just go with it.
I think Scott smith just rolled an ankle. Started limping. Doesn't look too good.
Honestly the race is perfect set up so far for Rupp. But we'll see.

Well call me a Shrader fan. Takes balls as a 2:13 guy on a very hard, windy course to gap the field 47 sec nearing 10 miles in. I like it...don't think he'll place but I like his courage.
Also he's hot
somewhat sad to see shrader grimmacing.
"Let's check in and get a feel for things" isn't something that should be said during competition, also I started this post right after they said that quote but it's already on Jared Ward while not running the marathon instead of Jared Ward running the marathon
plz no more updates about schroder, the wheels will come off by mile 15
f*** me another awful segment, on ward
Now for the Jared Ward feature...
