That would be a crucial piece of evidence and easy to understand, even for non-runners.

Had been watching this thread jump up and down the mb but after having been through too many of these cheater threads over the past few years, I just wasn't motivated to click on it until I saw Rojo's appeals to IP Address. Dammit. The duplicity and depravity were just too enticing of bait. Now, days later, I've read the thread in it's entirety.It does seem that many missed that these allegations did make the news. Watch the video of the news segment below from Philly's NBC station...

Making a video from the photos makes no sense. Videos are 30 frames per second. How would looking at 30 photos in one second be helpful? Stop asking for a video. It's a dumb idea.

This is going to negatively affect his business big time. He won't notice it initially because people book DJ's way far in advance of the wedding day. But if I heard a friend had gotten engaged I would tell them to steer clear of East Coast Event Group.

It is dead easy to adjust the framerate. Google for timelapse photography, the scripts are incredibly clever.

I wish the guy she interviewed had answered the reporter's "You have no reason to have an opinion on him whatsoever" challenge a bit better.

I'm left wondering if the typical non-runner comes away feeling like it's a witch hunt and suddenly Rossi is now the victim.

The images are not taken from a static camera. The photographer zooms in and pans the camera on almost every shot. So motion blur is pointless. What you're going to end up with is just a bunch f images that fly by that have no connection to each other.

Then you can come back and apologize to me.

Post on the Lehigh Valley Marathon Facebook page and ask when the results will be updated that remove the questionable time that has been publicized nationally.

You could veil it in the form of "I was thinking of running this race, but if the results aren't going to be accurate I'll look elsewhere."

Of course, it'd be public, no anonymous Letsrun message board. If probably be deleted instead of being replied to, but still interesting to watch.

I doubt they will have any kind of press release to make it known. A big business like that announcing they caught somebody cheating is opening themselves up to a defamation lawsuit. Especially since their only proof is that they have no proof.

We'll have to keep an eye on the results page and one day Rossi's will be gone. And shortly after his Boston time will be gone as well.

There can't be a finding of defamation if he was found to have cheated. If the organization stated before fully investigating that Mr. Rossi is a cheater, then there could possibly be grounds for defamation, and even then Mr. Rossi would have to prove that they knowing stated something that was false. If however they conduct a full investigation and have evidence to support their finding that he cheated, such as the lack of photographs that he was ever on the course, in contrast to every other runner having been photographed on some part of the course (besides finish line), that constitutes direct evidence, and therefore it cannot be considered defamation. Moreover, there is other supporting evidence, such as his time in relation to every other time he ran doesn't appear to be consistent, etc.
