Okay. “Losername” is effectively trolling this thread now, which is a shame because it’s a thread about a woman and fellow runner who is presumed dead. So let’s not feed the troll any longer.
(And now hypocritically I’m going to address this stupid squabble.)
Like I said when Losername said there are no good or bad people, he is being sophomorically philosophical, probably just to ruffle feathers. When he (I’m assuming gender here, I would guess he’s a 16-21 year old male) claims that calling the perpetrator a piece of garbage renders you no better than the criminal, he’s being stubbornly deaf to semantics. We all know that calling someone a “piece of garbage” is to call them “An irredeemably flawed person whose actions warrant severe contempt.” In a way, if one truly viewed him as just a piece of garbage then Losername would have a point—and considering the police have confiscated a dumpster, it would almost be clever in a twisted and disrespectful way.
The site’s operators should really consider locking this thread until further developments are revealed, or at least limiting it to registered posters.
